This is the greatest thing to happen in American sport since the 1980 miracle on ice...

Red Bull had better be prepared, or else this could be a Red Bull stampede.

I hope it's televised. I'm going to get a big bag of popcorn. Ronaldo is coming to this team? seriously? Hopefully he doesn't catch this thriller in Spain. The Bernbau to the empty Meadowlands. Fascinating. This is all probably good enough for a movie.

Is it too late to move this game elsewhere? DC or NE?

I agree, move it to DC. Chelsea vs DC was a fun game to watch last year.

Can't we have Barca play a decent MLS team? I know Red bull is good at marketing and the league desperately wants a champ in New york, but for christ's sake, if Alecko Eskandarian can treat NYRB like his B*tch, what will Ronaldhino and Eto'o do? The best MLS match was Chicago vs. Milan, followed by DC vs. Chelsea. The Euro teams left knowing they were better, but still having respect for the level of soccer here. Barca is going to maul the REd Bulls. Can we please move this game so tthey play someone good?

It believe it won't happen, but MLS should seriously consider bringing in star players from other teams.

Barcelona would win 10-0 if Red Bull played like they did today.

you are being generous... I would have said 20-0, but sheer bordem would probally prompt them to stop at 10.

I'll be there to witness the humiliation.... on both occasions.... DCU plays them 4 days later so trust me they are in for one bad week..... It sucks to be them  ...

THIS IS NOT THE GREAT EVENT OF THE CENTURY ON US SOIL...

But it is a nice treat when Big clubs come to town to play even a meer friendly because many fans get the opportunity to see Barcelona. its not like you can see this team in person week in and week out i'm sure good croowds will come out for these games..

I for one am looking foward to the beating Barcelona meesi, ronaldinho and co. will give to the forth rate NEW JERSEY RED BULLS....

I'm sorry to say this, but MLS, especially NYRB will look bad if NYRB play Barca like they have been :(

I am all in favor of the MLS getting some measuring stick competition.

BUT, this year, in the name of league/partner promotion the games are going to the biggest markets in regards to Barcelona.

Red Bull had better pull it together. Barcelona could run over them and not break a sweat.

Madrid, thanks for seeing something in Dave Checketts and his side. They'll need your help and you'll likely kick the hell out of them in Provo this summer. Enjoy the scenery I guess!

HOPEFULLY, MLS will continue to reward performance and the teams that directly approach the league for a tour will play either the best clubs of the first half/third or the top 3 teams from the previous year in the sake of competition. It would likely have to be some measure of the current year given the high turnover rates of some rosters each season.

If a team wants in on the international deal after that they should be at the mercy of arranging it themselves.

You'd think the answer would be to have a team IN the state of New York :)

RBNY will, after this match, go from merely embarassing their fans to embarassing all of us when Barca (feeling merciful) subs in their training staff in the 65th minute after Eto'o completes his hat trick.
