I think that we will win this one without any problems. Celta lost at home to Depertivo and looked very bad.
Re: Barca vs Celta At home i think we will get the result. We just have to play hard and solid through out.
Re: Barca vs Celta True, we should handle each game just like we have handled others. Celta actually is well placed on the table and should not be taken lightly. We should also keep an eye on Osasuna at home to Athl Madrid and the los comedicos at home to R-santander, they should be surprises in those matches too. I expect us to battle hard and come up with a good result.
Re: Barca vs Celta Also just a note....Celta will be without their first choice keeper due to red card in the Galicia derby this past weekend.
Celta Vigo are ripe for the picking. They got DESTROYED by Deportivo La Coruna this past Saturday...I mean they were totally owned. And I'm sure they are staring at the fixture list this week in practice thinking, "Holy cr*p! We have FC Barcelona this weekend!" Where is the [R] in the thread title?
We have always had problems with Celta!! This wont be an easy match, Celta is a great team this seson (again). We will have to 100% to beat them. Just to remember. They beat some great teams like Real in Madrid... Here is Rijkaard look on this match: http://www.fcbarcelona.com/eng/noticias/noticias/n05121907.shtml
I also think this will be another hard fought game. Celta even if they have lost two in a row they will be very motivated against us so we need to work harder as usual. They are also well placed on the table save for the crashing they got from high flying Depor. Hopefully we come on top injury free.
OOOO that was a cold one, lol. Funny but still cold especially me being a madrid fan. But somewhat true in a sense, lol. Anywayz does anyone know if ppv live or any of those streaming places would be streaming this match online. Leaving early to catch Ronaldinho after winning Fifa world player of the year yet again. Also is the trophy going to be presented today since it is a home game???
This match is on today at 9pm Eastern time on GolTv in the USA. It obviously is tape delayed, but is the only time this match is on tv.
Nah I actually checked and it is a repeat of the Cadiz match. Yea I saw that too and thought it was a tape delay but it isnt. Just a replay of the Cadiz match.
Lol, its okay buddy, lol. Does anyone else know if it is streaming anywhere? Where is everyone. This thread should be jumping it is the last match for Barca before the winter break.
This is from our official website. "The finishing touch to a great year Record breakers A win tonight would be the tenth consecutive league victory, something the Club have managed only once before, in the 1955-56 season. It would also be the 13th consecutive win in all competitions, equalling the record set in 1923-24 and 1927-28, before the current league format came into being. FC Barcelona receive Celta tonight in the last match before the winter break. A win would be a perfect end to a great year and consolidate Barca's lead at the top of the La Liga table. The Nou Camp receives Celta tonight - kick-off 9 pm - in the only match of week 17 brought forward to Tuesday night. Frank Rijkaard's squad go into the match on the back of twelve consecutive wins in all competitions. Another win will put the final seal on an excellent year and consolidate the Club's lead at the top of the La Liga table. For their part, Celta will be determined to take something positive from the match after their demoralising defeat at the weekend in the Galician derby against Deportivo (0-3). Rijkaard's team: The main talking point is the return of Ronaldinho to the squad sheet. The Brazilian star missed the last outing against Cádiz due to a heavy cold that kept him away from training all week. However, last Sunday he was able to return to full training. Both Ronaldinho and Eto'o have just returned from Zurich, where they were two of the star attractions of the FIFA World Player award ceremony, in which Ronaldinho received the award for Best player for the second year running. The two players joined up with the rest of the squad on Tuesday. Suspensions: Gabri, Damià and Maxi have been dropped from the final squad. Márquez and Belletti are just one yellow card away from a one-match ban, which would see them missing the derby against Espanyol. The opponent: Celta Vigo, who usually perform well in the Nou Camp, are low on morale after losing against fierce local rivals Deportivo. The side managed by Fernando Vázquez started the season well, notching up six wins in the first ten matches, and would love to get back to winning ways against the league leaders. Brazilian forward Fernando Baiano is the main danger with seven league goals so far this season. The record book: Barca and Celta have met on forty-four occasions in the Nou Camp with a clear balance in favour of Barca - thirty-three wins, ten draws and just one defeat. However, in the last ten visits, Celta have managed no fewer than six draws." I`m surprised Gabri was dropped for this match as Maxi and Damia also miss out. Rafa and Belletti also have to be very careful as they are only a card from suspension.
