I notice that the bookies are making the Hammers 8/13 to finish in the bottom 3 this year! While they aren't always right, I think this reflects the lack of high-profile signings so far; Pardew is quoted on the West Ham website as saying he wants to sign a good striker and midfielder before the season starts, so he probably is working on a couple of good prospects. I hope he gets whom he wants! The other favourites to go down are: WBA..4/5;Sunderland..8/13; and Wigan..4/6 :
Don't let it worry you that much that you have to post it twice Leslie. I actually think many of the high profile signings are not what we need. Although i do think we need 2-3 more players of some quality.
sorry about the 2 posts!! The problem is, you can't clear anything on this board! Tomorrow's friendly will be interesting; these games should give us all at least some idea of how this squad will work together.
