Hmmmm . . . . . no thanks to the folks who didn't bring young girls, and who were there just because they loved the game?
cachundo, Brandi is not snubbing those support the league (but who don't bring young girls to the matches). The context of her article is the uphill battle for gender equality and the challenge WUSA and its young players have to "hang tough" and exploit the "open doors" (that she and the other Womens sports pioneers have opened) despite today's tight economy Brandi is thanking those adults that have supported the notion of gender equality by bringing young girls to WUSA games to see strong women demonstrating "... leadership, organization, decision and communication skills, determination, dedication, perseverance and self-esteem ...." In many other articles, Brandi has thanked all who support WUSA. In this article, her focus is different. --Socceroo
She thanked everyone who's boughten a ticket........that should include you. I must say, kudos to Brandi for mentioning the young girls......and those of us who are young at heart.......
Great article. She's an awesome ambassador for the game. Glad we've got someone like her on our side.
