    Purtroppo il fatto di non aver giocato un amichevole ad Agosto (di solito le U21 degli scorsi bienni giocavano un amichevole verso la merà d'agosto) non ha consentito alla squadra di presentarsi affiatata, aggiungiamoci il fatto che il campionato da noi e appena agli inizio (praticamente eravamo fermi) non ha permesso alla squadra di essere sia in condizione fisisca accettabile, sia di sviluppare gli automatismi giusti di squadra, un altro problema è la mancanza di una prima punta che la butta in rete, speriamo che qualcuno inizia ad ingranare.

    Watching the highlights of the game not sure how Italy didn't win that by 3 or 4 goals. Typical profligate Italy though!

    Yes really good result, the team looked much more fluid today. Miretti was a standout and I love the way Esposito plays others into the game. Ndour to me is overrated with a bad first touch. I can't say enough good things about Pirola...they guy was everywhere and had several huge blocks / clearances. Why inter gave him up in order to buy a German International i'll never understand. There is no way he couldn't play the same role for Inter as a backup

    After the two friendly matches against England in August, the first won (3-1) and the second drawn (1-1), the National Under 16 team returns to the field to face their peers Spain in another double testing test in program on Tuesday 19th (6pm) and Thursday 21st September (10.30am) in L'Albir.

    There are 22 players born in 2008 called up by coach Daniele Zoratto, who will meet on Sunday 17 September in Fiumicino (RM) and will leave for Spain the following day.

    The list of those called up:

    Goalkeepers: Raffaele Huli (Juventus), Alessandro Longoni (Milan);

    Defenders: Leonardo Noah Bovio (Inter), Lorenzo Calvani (Lazio), Federico Ciucci (Lazio), Thomas Lissi (Inter), Mattia Marello (Udinese), Andrea Natali (Barcelona), Luca Reggiani (Sassuolo), Samuele Tavanti (Empoli) ;

    Midfielders: Cristian Bagordo (Empoli), Nicolò Ballabio (Monza), Oliver Blini (Empoli), Danilo Busiello (Empoli), Christian Comotto (Milan), Pietro La Torre (Inter), Simone Lontani (Milan), Vincenzo Prisco (Napoli) ;

    Forwards: Thomas Campaniello (Empoli), Cristian Carrara (Inter), Samuele Inácio (Atalanta), Edoardo Zanaga (Empoli).

    Anyone know the current status of Giuseppe Ambrosino? He was loaned to Catanzaro and has failed to make their bench this season. Injured? Offloaded? Squashed? It's so, so frustrating following the youth players. They just disappear from rosters like missing people.

    Kind of a shame as I thought Ambrosino was a highly skilled CF with the ability to create for others and forge link up play in the attack. Good scoring skills as well even if he did lack pace. Amaing he cannot play for a Serie B team but perhaps there is something else wrong. I did notice that Nunziata did not call him in the latest U21's preferring Esposito instead

    On the subject of youth players, Matteo Prati went from Serie D to A in just over 1 season.

    Yesterday he made his debut in Serie A with Cagliari. Played 80 Minutes in 0-0 versus Udinese.

    Yeah and frustrating because he was productive for Cittadella last season. These young players need consistency. Ambrosino goes form playing consistent minutes for Cittadella to loaned out to Catanzaro. And you can look up their roster for all the games so far thid season, he's gone completely missing. I can't find any news on his injury status because he still has such a low profile. I like him. Hard working and created space by his movements. Worked his tail off in U20 world cup and chipped in with a goal and 2 assists. I think he also won a penalty.

    4.5 Italians of the 11 in that U19 Lineup.

    This isn't only Milan either. They are all like this, even worse.

    I'm convinced Italian football is just one big Human Trafficking syndicate.

    sono di più

    Bartoccioni (ITA)
    Bakoume (ITA-MOR)
    Simic (SER-GER)
    Nsiala (FRA)
    Magni (ITA)
    Eletu (NIG)
    Stalmach (POL)
    Zeroli (ITA-NIG)
    Traore (CIV)
    Scotti(ITA)
    Camarda(ITA)
    sono 6 su 11 con Bakoume e Zeroli con doppio passaporto (Bakoume nazionale italiano U18)
    inoltre dei 5 che sono entrati dalla panchina 3 su 5 sono italiani (Sia, Perucci, Parmiggiani) comunque nei prossimi le regole sugli stranieri in primavera sono cambiate

    LA REGOLA SU ITALIANI E LOCAL
    Dal 2023/2024, a salire nelle annate successive, sarà necessario avere in distinta, dunque tra campo e panchina, almeno 5 giocatori local e 5 giocatori con requisiti per essere convocati nell'Italia, che sia la Nazionale maggiore o le giovanili.

    Questo dato passerà ad 8 e 8 nel 2024/2025 e 10-10 nel 2025/2026. Una riforma per favorire i giocatori nati in Italia o che possono convocati dalla Nazionale azzurra per diverse motivazioni: dovranno essere ben 20 nella stagione 2025/2026 sul totale presente in panchina e campo.

    La distinta, dunque la lista di giocatori tra campo e panchina sarà ridotta a 22 giocatori. Significa che nel 2025/2026 gli stranieri non italiani o convocabili dalla Nazionale saranno appena due. Mentre nelle annate precedenti 6 e ancor prima, 12.

    Voci girano che Camarda abbia la doppia cittadinanza (ITA-USA), ma a me pare una stupidaggine dato che non ho trovato la fonte

    There are rumors that Camarda has dual citizenship (ITA-USA), but it seems stupid to me since I haven't found the source
