With the double trip to Latvia and Turkey, the new cycle of the Under 21 national team opens, with Carmine Nunziata on the bench, fresh from second place in the Under 20 World Cup played between May and June in Argentina. The Azzurrini begin the journey that will lead to the final phase of the European Championship in Slovakia, scheduled for 2025: in Group A, with Italy and in addition to Latvia and Turkey, there are also Ireland, Norway and San Marino. Both matches will be broadcast live on Rai channels. If there are no precedents against Latvia, there are no less than nine Under-21 matches between Italy and Turkey, with six Azzurri victories - including the one in the last match played, in November 2011, 2-0 thanks to Destro's brace - , two draws and a victory for Turkey.

The Under 21 national team will meet on the evening of Sunday 3 September at the Tirrenia Olympic Training Center and, from the following day, will begin preparing for the two-way match. The Under 20 national team restarts with Alberto Bollini on the bench: the coach, who last July led the Under 19 team to a European title that had been missing for 20 years, then finds the 2004 group again, which will be involved in the Elite League, the tournament reserved for eight national teams that Italy won in 2022 with Bollini at the helm of the team. Bollini had initially been appointed assistant coach of the national team but, after the change of technical guide, he chose to remain in the organization chart of Club Italia.

"It is impossible not to live the blue shirt - he said -. The enthusiasm and empathy that were created after the victory of the European Championship are the engine that will lead us to live every experience with maximum energy: then knowing that the Under 20 group will be made up of many of the protagonists of the Under 19 European Championship is a further motivation to do well and continue along the path that has brought us to the top of Europe. I feel the responsibility to put the boy, the footballer, at the center of all the work: when the boys go on the field, there are no other thoughts than those related to their growth".

The Under 20's adventure in the Elite League will begin with a double away game: on Thursday 7 September, at 5 pm, the Azzurrini will face Germany at Auf Dem Wurplatz in Berlin, while on Monday 11, again starting at 5 pm, Italy will play Tabor against the Czech Republic. England, Norway, Poland, Portugal and Romania will also participate in the tournament. Bollini has summoned 23 players, who will meet on the evening of Sunday 3 September in Grassobbio (Bergamo) and on Tuesday 5 they will fly to Germany. First call up with the Italian national team for forward Lucas Roman (Barcelona).
    L'elenco dei convocati

Portieri: Davide Mastrantonio (Monterosi Tuscia), Lorenzo Palmisani (Olbia)
Difensori: Andrea Bozzolan (Perugia), Pietro Comuzzo (Fiorentina), Alessandro Dellavalle (Torino), Alessandro Fontanarosa (Cosenza), Michael Olabode Kayode (Fiorentina), Lorenzo Lucchesi (Ternana), Iacopo Regonesi (Atalanta), Filippo Terracciano (Verona)
Centrocampisti: Lorenzo Amatucci (Fiorentina), Giacomo Faticanti (Lecce), Samuel Giovane (Ascoli), Luis Hasa (Juventus), Riccardo Pagano (Roma), Niccolò Pisilli (Roma)
Attaccanti: Luca D'Andrea (Catanzaro), Luca Warrick Daeovie Koleosho (Burnley), Daniele Montevago (Gubbio), Lucas Roman (Barcellona), Nicolò Turco (Liefering), Samuele Vignato (Monza), Cristian Volpato (Sassuolo)

ELITE LEAGUE 2023-24 - THE MATCHES OF ITALY

    Volpato!

Most of the EC Champion U19's graduated to the new U20 Cycle.

    Notable exception is Lorenzo Dellavalle.

Question is whether the player was dropped from Italy U20 because LA FC II season is still ongoing or was he dropped because LA FC II is considered lower than Juve Next Gen U23 that play in Serie C?

I don't like this at all. For what reason did Juve send him to LA?

I found this on Lorenzo Dellavalle

    https://www.tuttojuve.com/esclusive...s-angeles-fc-i-termini-dell-operazione-653735

It is probable that Chiellini (he plays for Los Angeles FC) also had an influence on the operation. As for the missed call-up, I think it is agreed with the player this year the U20 will not play official FIFA or UEFA tournaments, but the "Elite League" which is a friendly tournament with Germany, the Czech Republic, Portugal, Poland , Norway, England and Romania (at most with a few other friendly additions), after all, flying for hours and hours (with the problem of jetlag) to play a friendly tournament structured over a year is not the best, for this reason I think the boy will be called up with difficulty.
However, if you keep an eye on I will put streamng links of the various national teams (or highlights), if you go back there are various videos about it and in the topic "****TOP PROSPECTS - ITALY" I will put various interesting videos on various talents who they are coming out now (starting from U14 and going up and going back there are various videos)
Let me know if you have any other questions
