2-0 at the half. Portugal is holding better than their lack of ability warrants. It should be at least 5.

BTW: There is something in the audio of the broadcast my dog seems to find objectionable. Twice during the first half he stood up and let out a big "woof" directly at the speaker nearest him. Now, right at the end of the half, he let out an even bigger "woof, woof, woof, grrr" and stalked back to the bedroom. I do not think the play has been that bad.

I don't appreciate how disrespectful McDonald has been to the crossbars.

I thought she has been quite respectful to them. Her passes have been near perfect and paced very well so the crossbar has no problem controlling them.

Hahah, looks like @jackdoggy is right behind the bench, they showed him again bowing to Mewie.

I am recording this. I guess I have a new go to recording to watch when I have trouble sleeping.

Edit: Or when I want to keep my dog awake. ;)

Much more respectful this time. She heads the ball into the back of the net from a corner.

The torture is over. 3-0 US. A deserved win but quite pointless.

Ho, hum. The players have important NWSL games coming up in a couple of days, and they're protecting themselves and saving their energy for those games, which really matter. But, Minnesotans got to see the players, in person, and we got to watch.

I think for a little excitement I might now watch a rerun of "My Mother the Car." It cannot be more boring.

However I really do not expect excitement from meaningless matches like this. At least it did not descend to the level of excrement.

Before anyone gets the wrong idea: I do like watching soccer no matter how boring. It is just disappointing when the players on both sides do not seem interested for large swatches of matches.

Number one, the NWSL is getting ready for playoff mode and they are making sure they aren't going to get injured for tbh, a meaningless match. Secondly, it's a victory tour match, an exhibition event more than anything else. I enjoyed it, the Minnesota crowd was amazing.

I know all that, I am just greedy. I want every match I watch to be played at the best level possible and these "Victory Tour" matches are not being played at that level. I do not "expect" more but I "want" more.

Edit: I also want the new coach to get chosen so that gets settled and she/he can get on with the process and, maybe, some players will see the matches as a chance to show the new coach something.

Yeah as film production student, I want to interview him and ask him how he can afford following the USWNT everywhere which is super amazing. I just want to recognize him for his effort.
