03 LB Herold (on loan) scores his 1st ever pro goal for 2BL KSC to make it 2-2.

between Herold, Kratzig, Netz, Brown, Rothe, Finkgrafe our U21 is spoiled with LB pro XIs. With Bahr, Ruschke, Calhanoglu, etc still working their way.

News #Uzun: The conversations between Can Uzun, Rudi Völler, and Andreas Rettig went very well this week and were positive.

➡️ The DFB has expressed a lot of appreciation for Uzun and showed him a path in the German national team
➡️ What Uzun appreciated: Völler and Rettig didn't put pressure on him!

The player hasn't decided yet. On the other hand, Hamit Altintop continues to do everything to convince Uzun for Turkey.

Great to see, Jeltsch is one of our most interesting CB/DM prospects imo. Hope he can build towards full integration next season.

2BL FCN coach Fiel said he sees him at CB and played CB today. Its rare for a 17 y/o CB to breakthrough relevant pros. Once he gets full integration only matter of time before he ends up in 1BL.

Wanner looking good for Elversberg, scoring in 3-1 win v Osnabruck today. 4 goals + 3 assists so far this season.

Hope he can get to double figures goal involvements. I wonder what the plan is for him next season?

it will depend on who will coach next season but given flop season at Bayern, I gather they will go crazy in transfer in Summer.

so Wanner might have to move into another 1BL club on loan. More 2BL seems pointless.

Diehl staying at Koln is now a possibility according to reports.

On Knauff, 2 goals v Freiburg puts him on 7 goals in 1BL which means he is the second highest scoring German non CF, 1 behind Sane. Hopefully he can reach double figures.

Jeltsch making xi would be pretty big, not many 17 y/o CB's get trusted to start. Is Hofmann a potential U21 NT candidate if he can keep impressing? With Morgalla out there is space for other options. Has done well to push himself into first team contention after being injured for a long time earlier this season.

wonder if Diehl's future is tied to whether or not Koln survives relegation battle.

I think him and Beier look headed for double digits in 1BL this season which is good to see and boost for U21.

Jeltsch impressed for FCN when he played XI during Winter Camp and looking like on verge of breakthrough, what helps him is that Gurleyen was poor in XI.

I think Hofmann and Lang could be main candidates besides Eitschberger. As those 2 seem close to XIs then Bruckner or Rosenboom. If Hofmann is regular XI between now and U21 could get the edge.

on 08 CF Adu, the youngest EVER 3rd Liga debutant
"If there wasn't the regulation with the minimum age of 16 years, then he would have made his debut earlier because of his good performances," revealed Unterhaching's coach Unterberger. "So it was clear that we wanted to give him the minutes. Not because of any records, but because of his incredible quality."

fun fact, 3rd Liga Unterhaching has 6 of top 10 youngest 3rd Liga players this season
    1-08 CF Adu
    4-06 CF Hannemann
    5-06 GK Heide
    8-05 AM/W Krattenmacher
    9-05 W Leuthard
    10-05 CB Hoops

Double post on 04 W Gruda of 1BL Mainz
    -praise by new coach
Brajan Gruda has a point in his new coach Bo Henriksen's board. The attacker made a lasting impression at the weekend not only through his performance on the field, but also through his attitude. Henriksen could hardly stop raving after the game.

The background: One day before the 1-0 win against Augsburg, Gruda sustained a ten-centimeter-long wound on his face that had to be stitched. Those responsible were certain that there would be a certain failure in the near future.

Not so the player. “He just said: I want to play,” said the Mainz coach enthusiastically. That's how it happened: Gruda ran from the start and initially with a protective mask, which he took off after just a few minutes. He played a part in the victory for over 80 minutes.

    “He showed everything we want”
Henriksen is “100 percent” convinced “that it also made a difference for the other players.” The fact that it is a 19-year-old who is making such progress in this difficult situation at the club makes the head coach “so proud”.

However, Gruda not only knew how to please with his attitude, but also with his football skills. “He also played a fantastic game,” as Henriksen mentioned almost in passing. The bottom line is that the Mainz youth hopeful “showed everything we want”. A successful start under the new coach.

U21 AM/W potential looking pretty interesting
-02-03=Thielmann (1BL), Knauff (1BL), Lemperle (2BL loan), Sieb (2BL-looks headed upwards in Summer), Conte (1BL), Winkler (2BL), Sane (2BL), Kehl (2BL), Gunther (2BL loan), Nebel (2BL loan), Egloff (1BL), Bobzien (Austrian 1st loan)
    -04=Gruda (1BL), Diehl (1BL), Kabadayi (2BL loan), Damar (2BL loan), Kade (Swiss 1st)
-05=Wanner (2BL loan), Ibrahimovic (Serie A loan), Uzun (DFB??? also CF as can play all attacking positions)

-Knauff doing well in 1BL aka breakout season
    -Conte,Gruda, Diehl, Ibrahimovic=emerging in 1BL/Serie A level
-Sieb, Lemperle, Wanner, Uzun=all doing well in 2BL.....this list is basically all 4 goals to 11 goals for 2BL this season too. Looking like Sieb+Uzun=breakout season while Lemperle+Wanner not far off from that.

    in middle
-Thielmann, regular XI for Koln but was out for awhile, could soon reestablish himself. Prior to injury was doing well.
-Gunther, not sure if seen as W, LWB or LB, LOL. Currently playing LWB and regular XI for Wehen.

    the others
-Winkler+Kabadayi+Kade need to pick it up though all at 2 goals. Nebel also needs to pick it up.
-Egloff, Bobzien, Kehl, Sane, Damar, need to do more, too bad Kehl is injured

NOT a list of debutants or 1-2 caps and that's it, would be much bigger otherwise.

how long until we see 04-Bamba, 04-Niehoff, 05-Popp, 05-Maza also being listed???? Bamba seems liked by Dortmund, looking for 3rd cap. Niehoff already scored his 1st pro goal in his 2nd 2BL cap. Popp looking to emerge and Maza already confirmed that on track to breakthrough XI too. Plenty more seem close to breakthrough too.

will be curious to see who makes U21 next month.
