No official number but I would guess around 3,000 for the Crew/Dallas game at Jesse Owens.

That's probably because they sold 2000 tickets, and the rest were free - watching from the hill and behind the fence. Probably the biggest travelling contention ever at a Wizards game as about half the fans were MENACE fans.

Late to the party - but this is completely untrue. The overflow crowd at Davidson had an almost negligible Chivas presence. Which came as quite a shock to me. I'd put the number of Chivas fans at 200 tops.

I thought attendances looked pretty good.
The 4th round is a pretty new idea, so compare them to the quarterfinals:
    (from Kenn.com)

I really don't feel like doing the math, but we're ahead of the curve and unless more MLS fans take this competition seriously, I'll bet the lower level teams will be hosting most of the game for a long time to come (obviously not the semis or final......).

Actually , there's nothing wrong w/ lower div hosting. That's what the Open cup is about anyway; give the minnows a chance. ;)

Seemed like some decent attendances last night:

    Rochester - 11,000+
    DC - 4,258
    KC - ?????
    San Jose - 5,134

Again, just cause I drop this when ever I get near the Open Cup boards.

Would it be that difficult to get a sponsor to put up $200,000+ for signage and a presenting title (i.e. the Pepsi Lamar Hunt US Open Cup).

I'm not all for the corporate thing, but take 1/2 of the cash and add it to the winner pot and the other half for advertising.

Thunder's website shows 1,551. Haven't seen any other attendance numbers for the game anywhere else thus far.

This game was not included in season ticket holders packages so everyone had to go out of their way to buy a ticket for this game.

I can confirm 1,551 from the press box at Park.
