Re: Just getting them out of the way:

Do we have to do this in every single thread? See, it was funny in Week 7. Now it's just kinda annoying. Especially when someone posts like this, and another poster comes along and quotes them and adds something that they left out (like "well rain was forecasted for the evening hours"), with a little winky face. A little ironic, considering the comedy lies (at least, it did at one point) in the predictability of others.

Does the All Star game get figured into the average attendance?

Errors at MLSNet.Com for high attendances for MetroStars and Rapids only amount to 30 heads for the league (you will see slight differences here and at MLSNet.Com).

I think the MetroStars-Crew attendance of 10,602 was outstanding considering the weather: Clear, 90f/32cWdE8m13k,26%H, Clear (from MLSnet's match report).

1.) I'm NOT from Rochester (Free tip: NEVER assume anything)
2.) I though it was going to be a Saturday game (and the Metros YTD average was just around 20K)

GreatZar, why are there differences between your figures and MLSNet.com figures? Where are you getting yours? Just askin' is all.

Who was it who said (can't remember if it was before the crash or not) "I shudder to think of what a Wednesday night in Naperville will be like"? Well, 10,444 made for a very nice atmosphere in Naperville last night, thank you very much, and considering what most Wednesday nights do in this league, it wasn't a bad number at all.

Oh, and not only is it still funny, even if it wasn't, it performs a valuable public service by keeping some of the drivel to a minimum.

If you're quoting a post, you don't have to quote the entire thing and waste server space and bandwidth and our time. You can go into the quoted part and delete some of it. Like this:

MOve New England to Boston and let them play in Fenway Park. I can guarentee 20000+ every game. Besides.... I will bet you tons of money that the Krafts get out of soccer at the end of this season or next.

Umm dildo, the Krafts own the team and the stadium the Revs currently play in. The get almost 20K a game now with no rent.

Hey, Sweep, I was there -- not until the last 5 minutes of the 1st, thanks to NJ Transit's lack of busses vs. the normal rush hour.

A lot of us were hung up on 41st. St. waiting... and waiting... for a bus. I actually heard a grown man say, "this wouldn't happen for a Jets game."

From now on, unless I can skip work, I'm ruling out weeknight aggravation. I can watch our bums lose on TV -- and get Shepp's scalding comments as well.

Better beer at home, too. :)

SJ should get their 2002 average over 10,000.

As of 7/31 their average is 9,482 compared to last year's 7/31 average of 10,013.
