The Silverbacks stadium can't be built soon enough. DeKalb Memorial is a dump....and I speak from the experience of having played on it throughout high school.
    Hurry Boris....hurry.

Maybe this has been posted elsewhere, and I can't find it, but rumors are flying that Parlow is with the lady Backs, but I cant find her on the published roster. Is this a lie?

The Ladybacks have a number of former Beat players on the roster. Sharolta didn't play on Saturday.

    #6 Sharolta Nonen - DNP
    #7 Kerry Gragg - 2 G
    #16 Marci Miller - Jobson - 1 G
#21 Lisa Kryskowski(sp?)-Cantrell - titan at center defense
#24 Melanie Wilson - solid in the net
#29 Leslie Gaston - very good left back

Once Nonen gets back, 3/4 of their defense will be former Beat players. :D
No doudt the Beat haters will have a new target in the bullseye.

    War Silverbeat!

You can say that again. I can't remember when Bradenton even had a shot.

As someone smartly pointed out, one of the things the league needs to be successful is competition. It doesn't matter how many teams you have if 75% of them shouldn't be out on the field, as it was last Sunday. We benefit from having the local connection to the Beat so we ended up with some of the best players in the league. If teams aren't willing to go out and try to get some ex-WUSA players, then the balance of power will be very top heavy for some time to come.

The Carowhina hex is alive and well. The Ladybacks had a lead of 1-0 going into extra time. Life was good. A sudden defensive collapse resulted in a 1-1 tie. I stomped out in disgust. No worries however. I will be back next week for more.

the only reason they were up 1-0 is b/c of a ridiculous call made by the ref resulting in a PK....carolina's goal was a legit one to say the least

Some people may agree with you. Others who viewed the game through blatantly biased hometown goggles, such as myself, would tend to disagree with you. :D
