Any Italian beef or good pizza by the park? Don't need the stuffed pizza, just good pizza joint stuff. How's the food inside the park? Also looking for Alpha King/Three Floyds products in any nearby liquor stores. I am an old Chicago burb area girl, but not up on the Bridgeview area. Any suggestions?
Some swear by - some swear at - Home Run Inn pizza: original location: http://www.mapquest.com/maps?1pn=To...3681:-87.73133:address::1:::/io:1:::::f::::/e Branch closer to the Park: http://www.mapquest.com/maps?1pn=To...728:-87.775339:address::1:::/io:1:::::f::::/e After paying $15 to park, I don't spend food money inside the Park - can't tell you anything about that. Want the best burrito in town: El Farol http://www.mapquest.com/maps?1pn=To....813017:address::1:::7649626/io:1:::::f::::/e Enjoy the game, and welcome home!
If you are coming from St.Louis you are likely on 55 and take harlem exit -- you'll pass a Portillos (good italian beef) on the right just after you get off, or go a bit further and on the left you'll see the Big Beef. I know some of the locals swear by that but I like Portillos too. Food inside TP is pretty good, not unreasonably priced for a stadium. Large beers pretty good value. See you there.
Not to mention that as a last resort the food at TP is darned good too. Yeah, it's stadium-priced but not outrageously so and there's a pretty good variety.
thanks you guys. I know Portillos, they have great dogs too. There's nothing like a good Chicago Italian beef or dog. I will ponder the choices. Much appreciated. dw
