Darlo await work permit after Asprilla coup I know he is older, but why not try to bring him to MLS if Darlington can't get him. He would add some flair and scoring ability to the league, and isn't completely over the hill...Opinions??
There was a rumor about DC being interested, but then they ended up bringing in Zambrano (well actually he has yet to arrive).
This is more than enough reason to not bring him to MLS. As much as I like him as a player his behavior has been boorish at best and dangerous at worst. Haven't we had enough of these type of athletes? http://www.soccer365.com/US_home/Features_Interviews/page_38_38099.shtml
he's already with Darlington isn't he? I saw the interview last nite and it was hilarious. He obviously couldn't understand a word that Brit was sayin.
No he's not (at Darlington, yet). They've apparently agreed terms, but now he has to get a work permit. As he has not met the requirements, it could go either way.
If you thought Luis Hernandez was an a-hole ..well . .STAY . ..AWAY . ..FROM . .ASPRILLA . . .He was soooo bad, that even in Mexico they didn't want him. El Chapulin Colorado
in mexico played really bad for a really bad team... tell that to the UEFA CUP CHAMPION team (when asprilla played for them... parma of course...).... well asprilla is not wanted now... even for the atletico nacional (his first big team here in Colombia...)

At the 11th hour, Tino takes a powder... http://www.football365.co.uk/Homegrounds/Darlington/News/story_39298.shtml Some Middle Eastern club made a better offer and he bolted. some highlights: Reynolds said: "I feel as if I must apologise for the bad behaviour of Tino Asprilla and make it quite clear that he did a runner at 5am this morning from Newcastle Airport to London, without even having the decency to ring the manager or myself or the club. "How am I supposed to control situations like this? A shame he's turned out to be such a loser -- he was quite a joy to watch at Newcastle.
He was only a joy to watch when Newcastle played their European opponents... he was a bit of a dud for league play.
