That finish was a little tricky. Volley or half-volley I couldn't see. Martinelli's the man.

Still we need another to put this game properly to bed. And get Stevie G the sack (wishful thinking I know)

well, that's not real good. odegaard needed to come off enough to kick the ball out.

Odegaard comes off with a a bit of an injury (from that nasty McGinn tackle?). Pray that doesn't add to our growing DL.

Edit: And NOW Ramsdale has done his hammie. OH GOD!

Maybe rotating a player or two before Old Trafford away would've been wise.

Ram better stays sharp. Get turner in there!. Arteta waiting for Jesus to get silly red instead of taking him off

Ramsdale gonna play on and through the pain. Could be risky. Matt Turner waits in the wings, both tonight and beyond?

    Ya think?!

That said, unlikely that Odegaard would've been one of those rested (and his was not a usage injury but rather a contact injury). And Ramsdale also would've never been rested unless he was carrying a knock. (which now he is!)

It's our fifth game of the season, and the first midweek game. Calls for rotation are harsh.

    FT ARS-AVL

    goals: 2-1
    shots: 22(9)-4(3)
    poss: 60%-40%

Obvously we dominated the stats (someone can find the final xG's) but yet again just barely squeeked out a victory.
Didn't have the appearance of a ground out win, but in the end that's what it was.

Still TOTL and still the only team in all pyramid with a perfect record. :D

Yes, ankle/foot from a hard McGinn foul. Played 13 minutes after the foul.

We need to be way more clinical when we're dominating. Saka was better today but needs to score. Oh well, good performance.

I thought Lokonga looked pretty good--except maybe defensively he was not bringing a lot of energy. We'll see how he performs at United I guess

he walked off. they'd been planning to bring in smith-rowe for him for a while but then 1-1 and 2-1 happened with attacks going back and forth fairly quickly. we finally got the ball back but odegaard just stopped play and rolled the ball out as he signaled to the bench.

looked like lower leg/ankle, likely from a clatter. the whole game, they've taken nibbles at us and the referee has let it go. i mean, to be fair, he's largely let both teams go with contacts but we don't do that so it's fairly one-sided.

Dominant win marred by fluky goal.
