I had my doubts on this game.

Arsenal gave their all in the Kiev game, and they got into Champ league mode in the last min of that game, so do they have enough time to get back into EPL mode before this game is over?

topcow--same feeling in the pit of my stomach before this one got started. We seem to crash pretty hard after an emotional victory...sounds like Lauren has been awful and TH is carrying the attack.

    Come on Arsenal!

Unfortunately prophetic, as we're down 1-0 in the second half.

The goal was in the fourth minute by Anderson. Sounds like a ball bouncing around in the box.

Also, numerous good to excellent saves by Spurs' keeper Keller to keep score at 0-1 so far.

Sounds like Arsenal are switching into attack mode.

Henry, Kanu, Dennis, Pires, and Freddie all on the pitch...

Hopefully, my last post jinxed him as Keller swats an initial shot by Henry into the path of onrushing Pires.

    1-1.

    Let's win it now!

Speaking of Freddie (a bit off topic): I was getting my hair cut the other day and opened the Men's Health that was laying there.

Our little goal scorer has a CK ad inside front cover.

    Go Freddie!

Anything happen to Lehman? I read on BBC that he was injured and had a little altercation. Did he stay in the game? Anyway, we remain undefeated and that early 4th min goal was just a tease for S*urs fans.

He looked like he had a cramp or something but got up and played the rest of the game fine.

He also gave a nice two-hand shove to someone who would not get off the ball for a free kick. There was some nice acting on the part of the Spur who went down but it was soild push by Jens.

A very poor performance, but we ground out the result. In the first half Lauren seemed to be Spurs' playmaker, his tackle rebounded to Anderton for the goal and he put them in with bad back-passes twice more. We seemed to have more possession, but we were playing so badly I couldn't see where a goal was coming from. Henry should have scored when one on one with the keeper and was lucky Pires was there to knock in the rebound. Fred's goal took a massive deflection to loop over Keller and that summed it up today, the luck was on our side. I suppose we have to put it down as grinding out a result that we have to if we are to win a championship, but we need to find some form soon as luck like this won't be on our side for ever.

I don't think they deserved it at all , they came with one intention , and that was to spoil our game.
The only shots they had were when our defenders gave them the ball, it must be a nightmare watching that shite every week, beat the Arsenal...you're having a laugh.

And i'm sorry, Silva get your coat mate.

The key was Wenger's tactical substitution of Cygan and Bergkamp for Lauren (nursing a chronic knee injury) and Gilberto.

Wenger moved Pires to the middle of midfield, Bergy to the right wing, Freddie to the left, Kolo to RB, and Cygan to central defense. The improvement was noticeable, we got the fortunate deflection off of Carr, and it's 30 points out of 36.
