Nits to pick. I said 15 years and meant it. It was around 2005 when the decision making process was screwy. I think that the foundation eroded significantly between 05-13. By 13 it was too far gone to fix. During that period the club nickle and dimed in the transfer market and lost out on massive ROI on players. Don't forget that in 2011 we had to buy 4 players on deadline day just so we could compete that season. The club wanted to save a few million up front (and I think Arsene moved in lockstep with the club here) and lost out on tens of millions on the back end.
