Thanks for finding that. I've rewatched it and don't feel any differently. If our keeper did that I'd be aggrieved if he got a card for that, let alone a red.

And now our keeper gets chipped for 3-1 to Citeh. :(

And to rub it in, VAR would've ruled that out for offside. :( :(

Lack of VAR strikes again. Foden makes it 3-1.

    Offside.

He's pretty bad from what I recall.

We have one good keeper and if he goes down we're even more screwed than we already are.

Macey look OK in the couple of games that he's had to play.

    I guess?

I honestly can't remember his last game, but I feel like it was in the EL and he had good hands. Something that this guy doesn't have.

I like the midfield right now. Ceballos, ESR, AMN, and Willock. I'll give Arteta a lot of grace if we can see more like this, and less Xhaka/Elneny.

4-1 City. Goal off of a well-worked corner. Laporte the scorer.

It's City's Cup and we're all just guests.

74' 4-1 City. Laporte with a headed goal from just in front of the goal. Just as simple and as uncontested as their opener in the 3rd minute.

    We. Suck.

    FT Arsenal 1-4 Man City

Now we can concentrate on what's truly important... a relegation battle.

Other than Martinelli, the most uplifting thing about today's game was the never ending singing of our fake crowd.

I pretty much knew when I started this MD thread that it would be one and done. And so I bid adieu.

    Next?

i might just be a bitter bastard but i can guaran-fucking-tee you if that was our goalkeeper, not only would it be a red, the announcers would also call for public execution. dude caught martinelli with the studs pretty high up - considering martinelli was already jumping to avoid a collision - with full head of steam.

martinelli is like aubameyang in that he is better coming in from the left as a right-footer. saka can and has played well on both sides - but you would lose the chemistry between tierney/saka. i still think the solution is either saka on the right or just go maitland-niles.

IDK, my memory of which match is not great. Maybe it was in summer/preseason? Did we even have pre-season?

In any case I remember watching Matt play in 1 or 2 matches and clearly forming the opinion that he was not good enough to be our #2.

So when Runarsson was announced I said something like "I sure hope he's better than Macey".

Anyway, I'm not saying we should dump Macey but I'm concerned we don't have anyone good enough to really back up Leno.

Don’t worry, it wasn’t in the league.
