2 shots on target through 155 minutes of this tie, scoreless in the last 304 minutes.

We're passing the ball quite well both in our half and theirs. And Odegaard in particular has been playing with tons of confidence. But we're not getting into the final third enough, or at least not with much speed.

Not taking shots despite a rookie keeper.

Team looks uninspired, yet no subs or switch in formation.

Days like these keep me on the Arteta out train...

Did TAA change his preferred last name, or is this color commentator just being extremely lazy in referring to him as "Arnold" constantly?

Saka and Martinelli constantly in 2 v 1, our defenders constantly in 1 v 1s.

73' Martinelli is driving us forward. Shoots just over the bar. GK tips it over for a corner. Which we fail to convert.

Arteta has been here for a little more than 2 years, and we still don't have a Plan B if the pseudo-City attack isn't working.

Oooh, we mighta dodged another bullet there. Jota puts it in the net a 2nd time. VAR is checking for offside. If it stands we're done.

Jota has really been having his way with our defense today. Great goal.

    0-2.

I guess we were a bit delusional to think we could beat Liverpool over 180'

A Chelsea - Liverpool final puts the Conference League place into the league table.

    1-4: Champions League
    5: Europa League
    6: Conference League

We're in 6th. Never in doubt.

Partey tries to emulate his regular partner Xhaka by earning a stupid 2nd yellow. And earning a very helpful ban. Was he taking out his frustration from AFCON? WTF

If Partey is the answer, what is the question?
Ok, he just stepped off a long distance flight but in general what has he offered. I thought we were signing a beast

Turned the game off, only to see that Partey somehow got himself sent off? Our players do the dumbest stuff.

Squad is shattered health-wise, multiple players making returns from injury/Covid, and Arteta uses two subs of five. Great work.

    FT ARS 0-2 LIV

We saw tonight that we're still not there yet. Injuries and outages not withstanding. OK not totally embarrassed, but not really close to competing at the top.

Not that that's much of a surprise really.

    Over and out from me!

That's assuming the FA Cup winner doesn't finish top 6, right? Otherwise 5 & 6 are Europa League and 7th is Conference League.

Yeah, but the FA Cup is still too open to entirely assume it'll pass down through the league.

Qualification changes if a non-top 4 side wins the Champions League or Europa League as well. Not sure how a Conference League winner would affect things.

Another day, another boring example of Arteta ball where we do well for 15 mins then when the opposition corrects themselves we do nothing for 70 mins.
