I was able to catch up to live.

That was a sweet assist pass by Saka!

And it came after a 5 minute flurry with a series of sweet passes just like that, a lot of which went out to Tierney who’s been very involved in our attacks. :)

Keep up the attacking intensity guys! And the high pressing! We need one more goal to start to feel any level of comfort I’d say

Ooh that was a nice FK by them. 2-2 on aggregate. :(

It’s all to play for now. And of course they have the advantage with this being their away leg. Ugh.

Suddenly I’m not feeling very optimistic about this tie

I really hate everything about the way Ceballos plays.

His loan can't be over soon enough.

If they score again, we need to score another 2. I hate the away goals thing.

From what I have seen, the advanced stats rate him very highly. But something I thing James/Gunnerblog looked at was his touches. Players like ESR and Partey are really good at one-touch passing. Xhaka is usually one or two touch, but he takes longer on the ball because he is always shifting it on to his left foot. Ceballos is taking 4, 5, 6 touches which slows down the movement and makes the attack easier to defend.

All true, but actually we should look on the bright side...

Auba's goal could've been called offside. So in a way we're fortunate to still be even with them.

This HT is where Mikel earns his money.

IMHO we need to come out with great urgency & intensity. Take their oxygen away from them. And score 2 bloody goals unanswered!

Yeach but what are the chances of that?!

Referee was very forgiving to wait a minute or so for Auba to make it out for 2T. I wonder what his issue was, but I hope he's 100% for the rest of the match! If not, bring in Gabi or Laca with enough time left to make a difference.

Arteta at HT: “Willian get ready. I’m going to bring you on”

What's the deal with us being offside against Benfica????

Leg1 we were offside 10 times, to their 0 times.
    Leg2 so far we're offside 3 to their 1.

Are they awesomely organized in their defensive line or are we just crap at timing our runs?

Vertonghen and Otamendi are 33, experienced but not all that quick anymore. I assume Arteta is trying to exploit their lack of speed but it isn't quite working.

Complete ********ing waste of a player.

You could tell he was going to misjudge that header from the moment he started setting up for it. Moved just like a centerfielder who takes two steps in before realizing a fly ball is going over his head.

Fvck. It's all over now I think.

    3-2 to Benfica.

Ceballos is the goat. And I don't mean GOAT.

What a huge mistake of a header to gift the attacker a 1-on-1 with Leno.

Never a doubt about him scoring that.

2-1 on the night to them. Great upfield pass from the goalie, the guy was one on one with the goalie and finished it. We need two now.

So Arteta's answer is to bring off Ceballos but he replaces him with Willian???

Partey on too, so that could be useful.

But we need 2 unanswered now. Ay-yay-yay

Tieney! Takes things into his own hands once more. With a beauty.

3-3 on AGG but they win on AG.

So one more goal now please.
