I don't see this elsewhere, but Bloomberg is running a story about the pending disciplinary situation at Arsenal and how it might give a chance to some of the younger talent on the bench. Its on the terminal, so I can't link, but to quote a brief passage: BLOOMBERG: Arsenal, with Bans Looming, May Have to Turn to Untried Players "With Wenger's defensive options limited, young players may get a chance to impress. Swiss Philip Senderos, a 6-foot-3, 18-year-old central defender signed from Servette Geneva last season; Gael Clichy, an 18-year-old French left-back who joined from Cannes; 21-year-old Irish goalie Graham Stack and 23-year-old Greek defender Stathis Tavlaridis may find themselves involved. Frenchman Pascal Cygan has recovered from a thigh-muscle injury. Some of the other players available to Wenger may not be too familiar even to Arsenal fans. Daniel Karbassiyoon, a 19-year-old striker from the U.S., and 18-year-old forward Michal Papadopulos of the Czech Republic will be trying to edge ahead of the likes of Jeremie Aliadiere and David Bentley. ``I'm itching to get out there and show what I can do on the big stage,'' 19-year-old forward Bentley told his Web site on icons.com. ``There's only so much learning you can do on the training ground.''" Obviously, this is a big list, but does anyone see this as a real chance for Danny?
Plus he is still definitely behind Aliadiere and Bently, top youth strikers (Bentley's a bit withdrawn) for France and England, respectively.
