Yeah, but since he lined up on one side of the field before switching sides, and then abandoned the match, really, where should he play? Perhaps he was just a Villareal cherry-picking squirrel!

All I know is this was once an enjoyable thing to watch/read but it has instead turned into a spectacle, not unlike Christmas. Seems a few people have forgotten that the point of this was to enjoy it and learn a little bit more about Arsenal, not have a pissing contest.

Btw, my imaginary team is better than all of yours! :D

After only 1 appearance and no goals? Most of the time he just ran around the outside of the field warming up. You'd have to be some kind of lying, cheating, name-calling, nazified nutcase to make a pick like that. :p :D

Ive taken my time to read through this stuff.

    a) Mercer can be called a defender. Anyone want to argue that point, I'll argue it no problem - you'll lose.
    b) The way I read a certain post - I read it in a certain way which is how I believe Jesse took it. Anyone can play any team as long as they can justify it. I don't believe any of us would be attacking Arsene if he put a midfielder in defence..............(Eboue, Lauren, Flamini, Gilberto, Larson). Cygan (if anyone bothered to look at the stats) is actually quite a high performing player, so lets not knock him too much.
    c) Everyone (Cannon and Deeplenon included) calm the hell down. Edited posts make this stuff difficult to get a grip with.

not thats its saying much but there has most probably been worse defenders for arsenal. there is 1 that can arguably be said was worse and has more apps then cygan.

Indeed stats lie. I shot exactly 50% from the field in three years of pee-wee basketball between 2nd and 4th grade. For that age group, I might even be the all-time fg% leader.

And oh yeah, I shot one for two lifetime. ;)

Sorry about that but with issues still under discussion about yesterday it is for the best.

Check your PMs. I think you'll find I didn't leave you in the lurch. Hope that stuff helps you. You still have a kick ass team.

    I agree with this.

Once your a mod your always a mod, I assume since Coach as more important obligations now than BS and is unavailable to moderate, but is still listed. Cannon is too heavy handed to moderate this. If you want to be an opinioned shite (like Cannon, phisy, MT, antifan or myself) thats super and makes this place interesting, but makes for a horrendous moderater. Nobody wants to see their stuff edited for any reason. If your a moderator and see fit to do it, you better have a better reason than some "technicality"

Its what we call a "judicial temperment"........ The guy lost his head of the rules of "fake, fictional, not real" draft.......you have got to be kidding me

    Steph, you'll do great

Do not assume that I've ignored or neglected my duties here.
Things got heated but I chose not to edit or delete posts. I have my reasons for this. Sometimes being a good mod means you choose to do nothing.

i stayed out of the rules discussion for the most part.

I do have to say that picking an "Arsenal All-time XI" withouth a goalkeepers is quite dumb. And Jesse, the 12th pick wasn't decided on until late in the draft. jesse/romeo, when the draft started were you planning on picking a keeper by the 11th pick?

and Billy, in regards to the whole position thing, you questioned why I put Bastin up front a few times!!

I should've put more into the rules at the beginning and given more leeway towards players from yesteryear playing in formations that don't really exist in the modern game.
