If Argentina convert the inevitable chances they'll have on goal then they'll b alright, if not we are in trouble

There are several Argentine bookmakers on this board where y0u can place your bet with very good odds. You can't help but make money.

Argentinians everywhere in Copacabana, went to get a bite to eat and they seem to be everywhere. Just singing (and making lunch on the side walk, they are traveling with a very tight budget and you have to respect that, they will do every thing to be close to their team) so far they are behaving hope it stays the same if they lose the final.

Samba da Ouvidor (traditional samba that happens in the street in downtown) made an "answer" to the Argentinian song, very funny to bad the video was up-loaded yesterday so the Brazilians at Maracanã. Since it is Germany x Argentina I will only post the video after the game, don't want to turn this into Brazil x Argentina.

Hope it is a fantastic high scoring game.

    Go Germany

I'm just praying for a classic. The last few matches haven't been up to standard (of what has been a great World Cup) so I'm hoping we finish with a great match.

For me, this is Germany's to lose. They are, of course, a beatable team, but they are undoubtedly the most complete team in this tournament by quite a distance. Argentina on the other hand have disappointed me. They were my pick to win it prior to the tournament, and they were also the team I was most looking forward to watch play. Messi-Higuian-Aguero with DiMaria and Mascherano in their team should result in beautiful football, but it hasn't. Instead, they've relied on moments of magic from Messi in the group stages, and have looked very solid defensively since.

Hopefully Germany will score first to open this game up. If Argentina score first, they'll probably just be happy to hold on to the result. If Argentina's front men finally click, with the solidity defensively that they've shown recently, we could have quite a game. But if they continue to look disjointed on the ball, they'll have no chance. This Germany team are just too strong to lose to a team relying on individual brilliance.

I'm going to be optimistic and go for a classic 4-3 Germany win. Hopefully we'll see Argentina turn up and play some great attacking football. I want to see interplay and team moves from them. In the end though, Germany will be just too strong, with the more realistic prediction being a tight 2-0 win.

In the previous WC finals between Germany and Argentina, the team in the home kits always win. Today, it will be Germany.

Good luck to both teams. Should be an exciting and memorable match featuring the world's best playmaker going against the world's best midfield. There will definitely be a tremendous amount of talent on the field, so I hope to see a few spectacular goals.

Argentina have never lost when wearing blue shirts/blue shorts: 3 victories, 1 draw.

    Was there really a question?

I also expect Di Maria to start if he can run at all. This is the match for which you break yourself.

The Germans seem rattled by this stat. Apparently there is no need to even kick off anymore.

It is bizarre. I kind of want Germany to win just so we can lay that stupid CONMEBOL meme that Europe has never won on South American soil to rest. But then I remind myself it is Germany so I am hoping they go down 7-1, and then I remind myself it is Argentina, so maybe a German victory won't be so bad. Round and round.
