The Mother Theresa of football the new saint of footballing compassion. Rolling around like he had been shot in the foot when Acuna merely stepped on his foot and smashing him in the neck at the same time.

This team is not ready to be without Messi. Can you imagine what going out of the group stage would do to the next generation on home soil next year? Not worth to go all in on young guys, should follow same plan as this Copa. Insulate the older guys with the younger ones. Messi right now is still the best option because we saw how players like Lo Celso faltered while others like Paredes stepped up. Next year it would be nice if saw this

    Martinez --------------- Dybala

    ---------------Messi

foyth is great i love his play but he made elementary mistakes. On the second goal he just stood maybe waiting for a whistle

Not ready? we need a fresh legs that can run fast for long period like Lo Celso and Foyth showed in this tournament. Icardi should replace Aguero by next year tournament. He might be controversial figure, but so does the best of all time "El Diego"

Does our team understand the concept of tactical fouling ? Even if you get a red from piece of shit ref you still do it. Brazilians did it a couple of time with Messi. They get close and go for the legs or a low key push or shirt pull that of course this ref let them get away with but thats the idea.

Well lads and lasses time to go to bed and yes it is sad especially losing to them and an inferior team as well. But at least the future looks bright although let us not get complacent. There are still so many things to sort out at a structural, development and financial level if we really are going to establish ourselves as an overwhelming force again. It will take time and good people to make it happen. Remember after the Colombia game it was all despondency and now it is all optimism.

We need radical changes at the AFA, the domestic level, junior development paths and ensuring all kids are nurtured properly and given the best advice. And that the best people are given the opportunity to make these changes. Hopefully at the u17 WC with a very promising group under Pablito we can see further steps in the right direction.

I would keep Scaloni but he needs better coaches and sounding boards around him. We also still need a better scouting group in Europe and at last it looks like we will.

Vamos, Argentina, carajo. Always blue and white forever.

The likes of ADM and Otamendi need to definitely go. That should not even be up for debate. Messi is a question mark. Kun could go. Lautaro and Dybala is a partnership I'd be interested in. Where does Messi belong, who knows? We need more emerging forwards, we are kinda light on those right now. Icardi is a bonehead and unless he comes back and scores 30 goals in the season, I don't see him returning.

We have a CA at home next year. We need to win it. And as I said, with the way we played today(offensively) and fix up our defense, I don't see why we can't win it. The way we played should be a stepping-stone. We had moments where we connected well and broke down their defense.

This was blatant injustice. Both were penalties for us.

You can’t win against such obvious blown calls.

especially when one blown call directly leads to a brazil goal. Ref didnt even stop the game to check with var. I havent seen Argentina dominate a game like this in a long long time. maybe since 2013 qualifications.

Really impressed with today´s performance despite taking the L. For me, the lack of having a holding midfielder was quite evident, but the players made it up by literally fighting for every ball. I still feel like AFA is the biggest problem and has been for many decades. They need to sort it out and start taking notes from Holland and Germany. Diego Simeone needs to realize that his project is about fall in atletico. Its time for him to take this job. What do you guys think?

BTW, was the ref on crack today? Where did they find this homeless guy? He was utterly trash in every aspect. Broke the game up every 5 min. Didnt give penalty when Otamendi got elbowed and so many other things that i forgot.

A big fat hell no for Cholo. He would start the game with 10 men behind the ball. No thanks. Bring in Gallardo.

Tagliafico also had a very good tournament.
Foyth had quite a few mistakes but also shows a lot of potential.

I'm a bit wary of Simeone, but I guess there is the potential for him to play the team like Sabella if he wanted to go the countering route.

On the fence on Scaloni. Still mostly skeptical but at least he takes some risks.

Messi should continue to play but not the full 90'. I want to see a 65 minute a game Messi where he presses and plays hard for a full tournament like he did here.
