I remember one weekend a couple of years ago where MLS set a league high with 8 matches in one day . . . however I don't recall last years schedule having a day where all 18 teams played on the same day. April 28 all times EST 2:00 Montreal v Portland 3:30 New York v New England - NBC Sports 7:00 Philadelphia v San Jose 7:30 DC United v Houston 7:30 Columbus v Vancouver 8:30 Chicago v Seattle 9:00 Real Salt Lake v Toronto 9:00 Colorado v Chivas USA 10:30 Los Angeles v Dallas Looks like KC misses out on this round. Gonna be a remote control frenzy around mid-day
so officials that day will be spread real thin... I'd put money on half, if not more, of the games featuring some really controversial call (pk, offside, hand ball, etc)
Kind of wish they would spread them out a bit. I know everyone wants Saturday games but for those of us that want to watch as many games as possible it's a bit inconvenient when there's 5 games on at the same time. Not a huge deal I just hate choosing, I always chose the 0-0 draw
2011 Season, Week 2 Saturday, March 26 Portland at Toronto FC, 2 p.m. Kansas City at Chicago, 4 p.m. New York at Columbus, 4 p.m. Vancouver at Philadelphia, 4 p.m. D.C. United at New England, 4:30 p.m. San Jose at FC Dallas, 9 p.m. Los Angeles at Real Salt Lake, 9 p.m. Houston at Seattle, 10 p.m. Colorado at Chivas USA, 10:30 p.m.
Bump . . . any confirmation as to whether they did this last year or was yesterday the busiest Saturday in MLS history?
http://www.houstondynamo.com/news/2011/03/hall-dynamo-hold-road-tie says "It was not the win either team was hoping for, but it is the result both will take after the Seattle Sounders and Houston Dynamo played to a 1-1 draw Friday night at Qwest Field."
