St. Louis...the time is finally here, and we have waited far too long for this day. Our home opener is Saturday April 17th vs the Austin Aztex. I think we owe it to ourselves to have the biggest celebration that any U.S. Professional team has ever had. Lets have an amazing party, and show the country the passion and love for the sport of soccer that st. louis has!

We should get all the known area supporters groups together to organize this so we can amplify our voices and have a huge welcoming of our boys...

    United Knights
    Lacledes Army
    Eads Brigade
    River City Saints

Lets try and get everyone together to meet up at a local pub somewhere near the park. From there go to the stadium parking lot and then all march into the stadium together. If we all sit together our voices will carry better and it will improve the atmosphere.

Lets get flags, banners, smoke bombs, drums, streamers, and whatever tifo everyones imagination can think up to welcome our boys the right way. And most importantly lets all bring our voices!

We can use this thread to update where we'll meet up and any ideas for banners and posters.

Everyone feel free to offer their advice on how to make the atmosphere as epic as possible!

A.C. St. Louis till we die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's have some equality. Are those supporters groups going to show up for the Athletica's opener against Marta and co.?

    A few questions and points:

    1. Where do I go to get in contact about joining a supporters group, preferably Eads Brigade or the River City Saints?

    2. Any room in said supporters group for a cowbell?!

    3. I notice no mention of the Blue Street Elite, please tell me these clowns have disbanded.

    4. I also notice no mention of the STL Fanaticos from the days of the Steamers. Any word if they are still around?

    1. eads brigade have there own website, it is eadsbrigade.org

    2. You would have to ask them

    3. I have only read the little bit about blue street elite and not sure what they're about. But if it has anything to do with violence they should not be a part of this gathering. If it isn't then they are more than welcome to join up.

    4. I am not sure, but if anyone hears from any of them or any other st. louis based soccer support group keep them updated on the events to come that will be planned for the 17th.

If you want to start a thread to plan the events for the Athletica's opener then go right ahead, but this thread is going to be used for the home opener of AC St. Louis. As we are in the AC St. Louis forum.

Right but I was just wondering since you have the Athletica's support group coming to your home opener why not have your support groups come to the Athletica's home opener?

I dont have athleticas support group doing anything...I was just throwing there name out there so that they can know what will be going on for the a.c. home opener. It was my understanding that they were planning on being at the game...If i was wrong then I apologize.

A lot will depend upon what time the games are. Athletica plays at Chicago that same day and the Chicago was a highlight of last season for the group. If one of the two matches starts early enough I'd be willing to do both but I won't speak for others.

I just added a page on my AC St. Louis Fanatic site called Fan Zone!, where you can add any AC St. Louis events that you might have going on. We will try to get official stuff from the team, but also want to know what all the fans are doing as well.

My contact information is up there. I am planning on making this a place where the AC St. Louis can come together as well.

Thanks for the hits so far guys!

I must say that I'm very happy that this day is coming.

I've never been to a soccer match live. I didn't have an opportunity to go to any Athletica games last year...but this year will be different!

Yes, the Saints will be there.

We're a small collective and I encourage everyone to "join" a group based on personal appeal and preference.

Since the RCS is based west of St. Louis, I look to bring together those of us coming from those particular areas.

I myself am in Washington, MO.

Due to my profession I'm unable to be as powerful a contributing factor as Ead's Brigade or The United Knights. That said, both groups have my support.

The RCS WILL be at the Athletica home opener as well, however we will be escorting our families, so I do encourage those ACSTL fans attending that day to sit with Laclede's Army in their usual Section 20.

Just to throw my quick 2 cents on this "Blue Street" junk, I gotta say, it certainly seems like they're pretending to be some cheap knock off of a glorified hooligan movie and if that's the "mood" they want to bring then they need not come.

For those wishing to get together and travel into the park as a unit, please find me at any one of these:
    Facebook.com/TattoosByKyle
    Myspace.com/3030Studios
    ScarboroughTattoo.com

I'm still in the process of putting together a tidy little Dot Com but alas my profession and 2-year old don't offer a lot of down time most days. :D

I look forward to meeting so many of you at the match.

    C'MON YOU SAINTS!

How do you guys think having a huge tailgate before the opening match would be as opposed to meeting up at a bar?

This could provide a great atmosphere and i believe that we could get many people to show up to a tailgate...

    your thoughts?

I would rather do the tailgate personally.

I've some pretty rambunctious friends who are raring to go as well.

Initially it started out as a group of fans for the Lions. And we still are.

When the MLS expansion team and Athletica were being brought to everyone's attention we jumped on that as well.

At that point it simply because an all-area supporters collective and it still is.

I've never requested to become "official" by the clubs, however they have asked and I appreciate it.

But, I'll let Laclede's Eads, UKSTL, etc., do what they do best and bring a 'true' supporters showing to the matches.

I never brought anything RCS-related to anyone's face and said "join us over these guys". It's simply an option.

with the tailgating option, it would be a good idea but we need to make sure it is allowed in the parking lots. I have a feeling it won't be. And if it is, they may do a no liquor policy. Someone needs to check.

So the River City Saints go to Athletica games too? Do you sit with Laclede's Army?
