Pretty much all we been working on for like 6 months, so please go watch some! A ton more coming soon too. MLS Season Pass is live on Apple TV. pic.twitter.com/Wse2Y17mZO— Sam Benavidez (@delasam) February 2, 2023 GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
I just watched that! It was very good! Hey @NedZ whatever happened to that guy who was going to make that short film himself? This wasn’t his work, was it? (There are no credits) Did he disappear off the face of the earth? Just wondering.
Just watched Never Say Die - good stuff! Lots of Lars talking about what the team means to him - they recorded the song not knowing if it was going to be used. They just said - f' it, the team needs this, we're going to do it and they can use it if they want. And lots of classic team footage. And I didn't know that some of the team members were in the studio doing "background vocals"! Not sure how much made it into the final cut, but I saw "punk rocker" Clarence Goodson in there in front of the mic . Also saw Jordan Stewart there (of course!), I think Jason Hernandez, and Beita (who was on his way out that year I think). https://tv.apple.com/us/episode/never-say-die/umc.cmc.6sl6tlwkciqoyzqk0gyapwfo3
I keep trying to log on but it says i have to upgrade my apple to ISO 12 or better and i don't have anything apple related.. What the ******** are they talking about? I guess i have to have an apple device in order to watch the games. ******** YOU MLS!
Yeah I wonder if they’re only supporting mobile activation on iPhones but it would be lame to tell you that you need iOS version 12 or greater or something when the site should know it’s not dealing with an iPhone.
From what I understand, he’d even be able to watch from an Android phone, albeit only via an internet browser since Android devices have yet to have an Apple TV app (though they might in the near future). GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
Should be able to. I wonder if activation is not supported on Android though. That’s the only way I can make sense of beerking’s experience. My AppleTV app on my MacBook was fine but for activation of the MLS subscription it required me to update MacOS to one of the latest versions. Only thing I can think of other than laziness or trying to force more upgrades is that there’s some security feature in the latest OS’s that they want to use in activation.
Can you access from an internet browser on an iPhone, even if you don't have iOS 16.2? I know you can plug a 12" black and white TV into the electrical outlet in the wall.
Updating security features in general is usually the main (though not the only) reason for updates. But is this a case of you not being able to update the iOS or simply not wanting to? If the latter, then how come? GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
I actually believe that you can. But your iPhone can’t update to iOS 16.2 (or the current 16.3)? If you don’t mind my asking, is your iPhone an older model or a more recent one (I’m wondering if there’s an Apple Support “cut-off” of sorts for older iPhones)? GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
Why doesn't the iOS update automatically? I am constantly reminded to keep my iPhone plugged in at night so it can receive updated software. I don't want to manually attempt an update that might f*ck up my phone that is otherwise working fine. Why is that hard to understand?
I know that OS updates often contain security features or fixes. I was just wondering why I can run Apple TV just fine on my older OS but it required an upgrade to use it to add my MLS subscription. It wasn’t a big deal. I upgraded and then was able to activate MLS on Apple TV..
For you, maybe. Seems complicated. https://www.cnet.com/tech/mobile/ios-16-2-is-out-now-heres-how-to-download-the-latest-iphone-update/
What the hell is OS, operating system? so ISO must be internet operating system, right? Whenever i try to get appletv on my home set it wants me to scan the code on the screen or go to activate.apple.com and enter the code. Now i can get into the desktop, it's a miracle i know, because KaIt shared her season pass with me but how do i go about getting the games to show on my TV and not just the computer? ******** MLS!
Yeah, operating system. When you wrote "ISO" I assume that you meant iOS, which is Apple's mobile operating system. But maybe it was something about an ISO bar code? No idea. Someone else would be better suited to advise on how to get Apple TV on your TV. I haven't had cable in a while, and at this point my TV is just a big monitor to me. I have youtubetv, and if I want to watch something on my TV, I plug my laptop into it.
I haven’t watched but apparently the Quakes preseason preview on Apple TV is shit and only 3 min long. San Jose Earthquakes (3 mins): No mention of being an MLS original, barely mentioning "rivalries" against LAFC & Galaxy (they did not differentiate). The best part was P-Lo hyping up the season, but they just took that from a promo from last month. I like the music?Grade: D+— Justin Ruderman (@JustinRuderman_) February 3, 2023
For your big screen TV just run the Apple TV+ app (you said earlier that you had this running already). The MLS games will show up in this app. If the app says you MLS Season Pass isn't activated then try logging out of the app and logging back in making sure to use the same credentials you used on your desktop (the one that is working).
You have to have accomplishments before you can hype them... what would they say, longest outdoor bar in North America, we didn't win the wooden spoon, our former coach may not have cared about winning but he had lovely hair?
Well OTOH there’s lots of content, videos about various aspects of the club’s history. I watched the one on the song Never Say Die, which was very good. I don’t know how that compares with other teams.
