I am American-Mexican. As hard as it is for many to believe (even though it shouldn't, because according to many, it's not a rivalry) I cheer for both teams. I am American and it would bring me tons of pride and joy to to have my country succeed in futebol. It would also bring tears of joy if my adopted country did the same. When they both play though, I've got to go with my birthright (Hugo loves me for this!)
It's not a huge rivalry like Argentina vs Brazil yet... but, whoa you root for México AND the USA. Must be hard to support them both when they play so often.
It's really not because both will always make La Copa and it will always be this way as long as we're both in CONCACRAP. Now when they play in the World Cup, now that's interesting. Let's just hope they meet in the Final next year.
Hehe yeah, that'd be nice. I don't think they'll make it to the final but I do hope they meet, and of course, I'd LOVE to see México win. Who would you root for? if they play eachother in... I don't know, let's say, semis?. México or USA?
It would be something I'd hate to see because it would be hard. I'd love the US to win but feel real bad for Mexico and vice-versa. I'd probablly be more upset if the US lost initially, but come game time for the winners, I'd just be happy to see them with such a great opportunity. To be honest I just hate all the stupid Mexico fans that say rediculous things about the US, and all the US fans that say assine things about Mexico. Then again that's what all of us fans are good at, we lose the ability to judge our rivals with any objectivity.
Must be hard to have your heart split in two, but I guess you'll have to choose one team someday. Or at least prioritize. Hm yeah, sadly racism and stupidity surround this 'rivalry', but that's how it is, just try to ignore the negative comments, or just focus on football, because when being a fan of both teams, then anything said could be upsetting.

Here's to us hopefully winning tomorrow, the owner's meeting hopefully bringing about the end of de la Torre and Lavolpe on Tuesday and us aspiring for a little more than quarterfinals next summer.
