I hear a certain female soccer player will be wearing nothing but body paint in the upcoming Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.
So, is it Lotto? Coach Hill has on a Lotto jacket while at the NASL combine this weekend. Check out some of the photos from day 2 of the combine on the NASL site.
So if I heard it correctly from another thread, the Rowdies are expected to unveil their new uniform in the next 2-3 weeks.
Saw this on the Rowdies website, any chance this is the new design? here is link to the page http://www.rowdiessoccer.com/index.php?id=52&newsid=1702
No. There should be green and gold hoops on the sleeves. It does look decent though. As part of the agreement, the Town & Country Hospital logo and the Westchase Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation logo will be prominently featured on the Rowdies official Event Jersey, which is the team’s uniform jersey for all games during the Rowdies Preseason Tour, official warm-up jersey for all Regular Season and Playoff games, worn for all public practices, Rowdies Night Practices at local youth clubs, and various camps, clinics and other grassroots player appearances. The Event Jersey will be available for purchase, along with the new 2012 Rowdies kits, beginning in March.
If they go through the trouble of getting the name and wordmark and all that and don't have hoop sleeves, there's going to be a mutiny. With a lowercase m.
And neither of those things has anything to do with me. I live in Arizona, remember? I was a Mutiny fan. You want to see the jerseys in my closet? I have nothing to do with the Fire and haven't for almost five years. And I certainly wasn't a fan even when I did. We've had this conversation before. I grew up in Tampa. I was pained, too, when the Mutiny went under. But I got over it.
It may be ten years ago now, but it still sucks to think about. I'm much less upset about losing the Mutiny these days than I am over morons who trash the Tampa Bay market with weak arguments.
next time morons want to trash the Tampa Bay market just ask them when was the last time USMNT played in their cities....for us it's 2 years in a row now. From Klinsmann: “Our focus since last summer has been to prepare this team for World Cup qualifying, and we are thrilled that we can start the process in Tampa,” said Klinsmann. “It’s critical that we start qualifying off on the right foot, so to be in a place where the team has had such great support is a huge positive for us. The players always talk about how great the surface is at Raymond James Stadium, so overall we think it is the ideal venue.” So a BIG FU to Tampa haters
Yeah, we got that marquee Antigua matchup that so many other cities were falling all over themselves to host. The rumor is we beat out Wichita and Hattiesburg to steal that gem. You know that DC, LA, and even Columbus practically host the USMNT each and every year, sometimes even twice? I will throw you a bone....at least your hated non-rival Orlando didn't get the honors.
It'll be three in 2012. El Salvador friendly in February 2010, Gold Cup last year, WCQ this year. Philadelphia's working on a three-year streak. New York/New Jersey a four-year streak. Carson a six-year streak. Not that it really has anything to do with anything, but if it makes you feel better, rock on. I think most of the criticism spurs from the blanket condemnation of Florida as a whole. Nothing you can do about that. Just go to the game.
Along with Nashville, Tampa is in the top 2 for USMNT games in "the south". As of now, that is fact. That doesn't mean MLS is likely to return, but at least Tampa can host a USA friendly/qualifier/game every now and again, and represent the south!
