Someone in another thread said that they've sold close to 20,000 so far. I'd expect that number to increase because there will be people buying tickets at the Stadium on Saturday & also people don't trust Ticketmaster....However, I do agree that the High Ticket Prices have hurt. My Prediction: We'll hit just under or about 30,000.
If you're going to the game, and buying walk up, it could be long lines. Will call and walk up was a clusterf*ck at the Ecuador friendly. Get there early and then come to the tailgate. I think it's in 6D.
Yeah, AO Tailgate will be in 6D. Luckily for me I've already got my ticket, but for the sake of good attendance, I hope lots of people are planning to buy their tickets at the Stadium. I'm hoping that the ad campaign that I've been seeing here in Tampa will pay off big time!
That's Mexico. Say what you will about the Viejo Enemigo, but they bring the people. I say more than 40k, because it will be a nice night, the local high schools are finishing their school years. The Rays are playing the Baltimore Orioles, in ST. Pete, indoors, of course. That's not going to take too many potential walkups. I'm walking up with 4 guys, hoping to get 4 together near the debaucherous horde known as the AO.
Very surprised w/ 20k+ pre-sale. Maybe we'll see over 30k, indeed! I'm glad to be wrong... My guess was lower due to the high ticket prices.
As we all know, you can't throw a dead cat in Tampa without hitting a strip club or a Canadian or Guadelupian soccer fan. They'll probably have 50k for that epic and classic CONCACAF clash. Hopefully some of them stick around to give US-Panama respectable #s. Pardon me for sounding stupid, but i presume the tickets are available for both the games. Going tomorrow AM and getting ducats will include - in the higher than i'd like price - seating for both games in the seats, correct?
The Rays are actually playing AWAY in Baltimore, so that's even better for us. It's 2 games for the price of 1. It's just like going to a Double-Header in Baseball.
