Just listened to the Watford victory over Portsmouth in the Carling Cup. A couple of Watford players stand out -- Forward -- Heidar Helguson -- 5'10", 27 yrs Central Midfielder -- Brynjar Gunnarsson -- 6'1", 29 yrs Both play with Hreidarsson on the Iceland national team. Curbs has said he would like more like HH -- players with heart and skill. Thoughts?
I can't see the club buying anymore midfielders. We purchased three during the summer and only lost one. With Thomas also coming into the first team and players such as Euell and JJ now playing in the midfield there just is no reason to buy another. Strikers are another problem. I haven't seen anything in the Championship that catches my eye. I did see a rumor that Forest may be selling both David Johnson and Marlon King. While I'm not a King fan I would certainly be tempted getting David Johnson. He's big and fast and is great with the head as well as can strike the ball well. I kind of think of him as cross between Bartlett and Jeffers.
