Are you serious? It's @DougJBalloon, the pitchbot parody account, that has been referenced countless times in BS.
I have some settings on my laptop that cut stuff off, especially tweets. This is not the first time, nor will it be the last, where I totally missed important context. Whoops!
It’s a contagious disease: Some social media users have accused world leaders of “hypocrisy” over flying to COP27 on private jetsBut what is the actual impact of private jets?— BBC News (World) (@BBCWorld) November 7, 2022

That's OK. While not fighting the headwind of midterms, the Dems can retain the Presidency and Senate in 2024, regain the House, and read further lectures from the press about their problems.
Well, actually..... The Senate is going to be really hard to hold in 2024, as all the competitive races are in purple&blue states, while all the red ones are quite safe.
By the way, whenever you see somebody claim that the stock market reacts to political races (a claim that usually is made about the market wanting Republicans), you can ignore that person for life. Yesterday - Red wave did not materialize, stocks down 2% Today - Same political news as yesterday, stocks up 5% Both movements were about investors' view on inflation/the Fed, and jackall on political parties.
How many political pundits will lose their cushy jobs? lot of egg on plenty of faces but it does seem like the Times was particularly strident predicting a Republican wave long before votes were counted. pic.twitter.com/8tq0HsAnsP— Eric Schultz (@EricSchultz) November 12, 2022 Zero.

I was screaming this during the idiot's announcement last night, when he was accusing Biden of mistaking Colombia for Cambodia. Yes, it was bad that Biden confused Colombia and Cambodia, but at least Colombia is a country, unlike Nambia!
I love this blog post because it explains very well what is happening to Trump right now. Trump’s Rough Week and the ‘Press Bias Avoidance’ Framework - TPM – Talking Points Memo Here's his description of how our political media operates. Find the lie. "No, it’s not that the press has turned against Trump. It’s that Republican political elites are not defending him. That changes the tenor of press coverage in clear and immediate ways. If one party is defending something or supporting it, it trips off the framework of ‘bias’ or rather what we might call ‘press bias avoidance’. So such and such happened or so and so did this. Many say it’s bad. But what do their defenders say? Their defenders say X. It’s a story with two sides. Events like the January 6th insurrection and the Big Lie have put this model under strain. But it’s persistent and robust. The ‘bias’ framework defines bias as not giving equal account to both partisan sides of the story. If one party doesn’t have a side, if they’re collectively sitting this one out, suddenly there’s nothing to balance because there are not two sides. This may sound reductive and cookie-cutterish. Perhaps the two parties shouldn’t shape coverage like this. But this is actually how this works. If one partisan side takes a pass it’s a permissioning moment where the press collectively can simply focus on what happened." Josh's point is that since nobody is defending Trump's meeting with Fuentes, the media are covering the event rather than the spin about the event. And covering Trump having a meeting with Fuentes as the real news (as opposed to the partisan back and forth about the meeting, which defaults to neutral 9 times out of 10) is really bad for Trump.
This comes down to two visions of reporting - 1) Correct reporting is relating what other people say about an event, because the reporter's view is not neutral. 2) Correct reporting is relating what happened at the event. The reporter does not need to cite other people's opinions. Most reporters, it seems to me, are held to the first standard.
