i won't argue that the cities are quite different, but it doesn't really change anything. in the end, you're being told what to do... hell, you're paying to be told what to do.
tonight was Blvd. Dry Stout and Wheat...Hy-Vee had a sale and I haven't dep. my paycheck. I forgot how much I like Blvd.'s Dry Stout, but it's much better on tap. I don't care for bottle conditioning in my stouts, and I prefer a heavier carbonation/nitro. They started carrying the Irish (was it released this week?) but it's one of two seasonals that I don't care for at all, the other being the Nutcracker.
I went to a bar in downtown Indy tonight that has a bunch of good beers on tap and got a spaten optimater is was quite tasty, much better than last time I had it. Although last time was out of a bottle so who knows how long it had been sitting there. Now I'm sitting at home and coming close to finishing off my sixer of 2 Below which is also pretty good.
I only have 7 or 8 Blvd. Wheats left and then I'm going to be begging people to come visit me in Indy and bring more with them as payment for a place to stay. It's cheaper than a hotel room for them and they get to hang out with me, can you find a better deal?
Had Great Divide Brewing Co. Hibernation Ale for the second time tonight, and each time it's just as good if not better then before. Great brew. http://www.greatdivide.com/thebeers/hibernation.htm
Mmmmm.. I got a case of Guinness Extra Stout last night and just chilled. What an amazing way to reward myself by getting through a week of hell.
Did you go to Eric's store or did you find it somewhere else? I think I've decided to put off brewing until next weekend...woke up a bit sluggish for some reason.
I hate it, I've tried to drink it more that a few times to make sure I just wasn't getting it and... I don't. The rest of their products are all so "in the pocket" with what they should be. Maybe I just don't get Irish Ales and what they're supposed to attract you to them.
