Another cold one please - Beer Thread pt 2

I've been hitting out Hy_Vee's mix and match section. I don't know if they exist at other ones, but at the one in Columbia, you can mix a sixer for a tenner from a cabinet that has all of the beers from sixers that have had one broken. Lots of times it's run of the mill beers that arn't worth $10 a six pack, but if I keep my eyes open I can put together one that is a good value and try several beers at once that I've never had. Last night I assembled a sixer of three Bells' I've nerver had (Kalamazoo Stout, Old Ale, Special Double Cream Stout), A tilburg's Dutch Brown Ale ( a favorite Brown) Fraoch Heather Ale (*not that good) and an O'dell's Imperial Stout.

Can't afford to do it every weekend, but it's anive way to work yourself through an extensive Import/Microbrew section.

the one in Lee's Summit isn't huge, but they have a build your own 6 pack.

They have it at the Gladstone, Englewood, and Barry Rd stores so I am sure that most of them have it.

I take advantage of it from time to time too.

Bubbles on North Oak has an excellent beer selection for those that live up north. The guy that works there told me they carry every beer that is available in Missouri. They have a large selection.
