    hey

if Chelsea needs a striker, how about Anelka? the guy wants to return to EPL.

certainly he fits JM's profile for a striker: can finish, can head, can be up alone....whatcha think? doest really have a team sprit tho

No. Exactly the type of player Mourinho hates.

Why don't we just sign Niall Quinn out of retirement then.

Well Souness likes Anelka and he wants to go there so that's likely what will happen anyway. I think Mourinho will ask his boss for Shevchenko so he can spend really big bucks.. ;)

Chelsea would take either and be happy about that unlikely event happening.

Anelka was a great player for Arsenal on the pitch, even if he was a prat off it. But given that we got TH14+ 12mill for him, I can't dislike him too much...

What about Owen? Despite the conflicting reports, he's a proven player at this level and will give us 20+ goals a year. Provided Eidur playing in the midfield, he will be at least the 3rd ( if not 2nd ) striker.

i agree owen would be a great addition, but jm's prereq for a striker is to be tall, strong, powerful

considering that we usually play with just one striker, owen would really be hurting for playing time. before crespo came on board, i was all for adding owen. but now, i don't see much point.

he's better off in madrid where they like to use three strikers up front (ronaldo, raul, owen). owen will most likely be sold next year to make room for robihno, if not this year.

Imagine next April - CL quarter final against Liverpool, and Owen score the winning goal at Anfield , and being booed off the pitch :D

The guy will( or has realised ) realise he wont be a starter in the top clubs he want to be . His best asset is the speed and the finishing touch, and he will tap in plenty of goals ( as a super sub) with the wingers we have..

A long shot to get him, but I wont be surprised come late next month he make a last minute move when Robino comes in.
