Started the 1st 2 games this season for empoli as a MF. Played the full 90 yesterday. Any one see either empoli game? Another good player made to look like shit under Picis?

This guy is interesting. He can dribble past an opponent, take searing shots from distance, put in tackles, cover every blade of grass for 80 minutes. He's strong as heck and as fast as anybody on the field. It's just the consistency and the focus. Before this season, he was a guy who'd get things right about a third of the time. In all those regards, he makes me think of Guarin. Tello was awful in that sub 20. Awful. He fouled pretty much everybody he came near and wound up giving possession right back to the opponents endlessly. I, personally, never saw him play a single match in midfield before the sub 20s. He came up as a right back. I've no idea if Piscis was the first to stick him in Central midfield, but he and Juve clearly saw something in him I surely did not.
Don't want to dismerit him, but this Crotone match...that team is going is straight back to Serie A. He looked good; let's see what happens against teams that can get the ball away from their own box.
Played the 90 minutes last game and has had a ton of playing time this season. Kid is still green and Empoli def getting demoted but still owned by Juve. Probably will go back out on loan next season.
