Since they lost 3 straight (vs West Ham, @ Fulham, & vs us in the FAC), Arse have won 6 straight league games (about to be 7 after today's gang bang is finished) by an aggregate score of 25-3. They're only crap display (I honestly didn't see it) was against Porto in the CL first leg. They have 1 more probable walk-over in the league (vs Brentford) before they have to go to Citeh. It will be very interesting how they perform in that one.
I’ll be interested in how this Arsenal team fares when they aren’t playing a team that’s going to roll over and concede 7 for them
When Arsenal beat us I thought that was an indication of what was to come. It will be cracker at the Emptyhad.
Arsenal are good. This is an insane title race... I know LFC & City have gone close a number of times, and those last-matchday races were impressive. And of course Leicester doing it, and 2012, both were very very notable. But when 3 clubs are up there within a few points of each other with 10 matches left, it's another level. Feels like it's pretty rare we see this kind of competition at top of the table.
Arsenal's tough games (on paper) remaining: @Abu Dhabi, @spurs... also have Villa, @brighton, Cheslea and @manu Abu Dhabi's tough games (on paper) remaining: @liverpool, Arsenal, @spurs ... also have Villa, Brighton, West Ham Liverpool's tough games (on paper) remaining: Abu Dhabi, Spurs, @manu, @everton....also have Brighton, @west ham, @Villa
BHA and Villa may have more to say in the title race than any of the three participants. Villa could see their top 4 dreams scuppered if they're on the losing end of all three matches against the title chasers.
Actually very reminiscent. They play really negative right now, bunkering in and then trying to hit on the counter. Really an embarrassment given the supposed quality of the players and the resources that have been spent on them. It's pretty clear that Ten Haag is not a particularly adept tactician. He'd probably fit in better at the level of some of our mid-table or relegation threatened premier league clubs.
Totally agree. Think all 3 will drop points, more than just to each other. How much and how often is going to be the differentiator IMO, moreso than LFC beating City or City beating Arsenal.
Yeah, I’ve thought for a while his in-game and halftime adjustments just might be the worst in the league. It’s really little more than when Plan A fails revert to Plan A. He’s like the tourist who thinks shouting louder in English will make him understood.
Agreed. Even if we stomp citeh 3-0, given our squad's propensity to injury at the moment, we could have a three game run of draw-loss-draw without it being a stretch of the imagination and see our dreams fade away.
all that. plus his after-match comments are remarkably Hodgson-esque in their delusion. seems like they've played great in almost every game so far. mind you, with a -2 GD that's pretty evident.
Does this sound legitimate to you? Man City won the treble last year. A documentary was made during and after. Man City were paid some crazy amount for their participation. The entity that made the documentary, supposedly their in-house media department, having paid this crazy amount, then sold the series to Netflix at a huge loss.
Didn't see this coming... Bayer Leverkusen are currently 2-0 down to Qarabağ FK 🤯Xabi Alonso's side have 𝐍𝐎𝐓 lost a game in any competition all season 👀 pic.twitter.com/BwewJajQe5— Football on TNT Sports (@footballontnt) March 7, 2024
I would have thought that given they’re in so much trouble with these sort of financial bait and switches (who remembers their cryptocurrency sponsorship with a firm that didn’t exist?) that they’d be shying away bullshit with charges pending. But it would appear they’re doubling down. Again and again, they are doing deals that make no financial sense other than finding a way to shovel oil tankers of illicit Qatari petrodollars into the club without attracting attention or in a way that “looks” legit. The above Netflix deal and their ilk are only the deals that we know about, that have come out in the wash after solid investigative journalism. There must be as many deals like these that have never been scrutinized. They really are a bunch of cheating, duplicitous bastards who only know one way to do business.
Arsenal still 1-1 with Brentford at the Emirates in 79th minute. Absolutely gifted a goal by Ramsdale...
