Thread for both friendlies if anybody wants to talk about the games. First Game .... Predicted Lineup (with Neymar): Weverton; Dani Alves, Marquinhos, Thiago Silva, Alex Sandro; Casemiro, Fred Paqueta; Raphinha, Richarlison, Neymar. If Neymar doesn't play, Vin Jr. could come in.
Neymar has been confirmed. Line-ups: Weverton; Dani Alves, Marquinhos, Thiago Silva, Alex Sandro; Casemiro, Fred; Raphinha, Neymar, Richarlison, Paquetá Kim Seung Gyu; Lee Yong, Kim Young Gwon, Kwon Kyung Won, Hong Chul; Hwang In Beom, Jeong Woo Yeong, Paik Seung Ho, Son Heung Min, Hwang Hee Chan; Hwang Ui Jo Brazil's bench is a little weird: Alisson, Arana, Telles, Fabinho, Bruno Guimarães, Coutinho, Jesus, Vini Jr., Matheus Cunha, Rodrygo. They can't list more players (they could list one more keeper but Ederson is out) so Gabriel (injury), Militão (just arrived), Danilo (Palmeiras) and Martinelli are not available.
6 mins in Fred scores. Korea had some of the ball but nothing dangerous. Raphinha then switched it to the left, Neymar and Paquetá worked it to Alex Sandro who bursts in and crosses. Fred shoots and it hits Richarlison on the way in. Just a minute later Neymar waltzes into the box but Raphinha blasts it over. EDIT: Officially credited to Richarlison.
Slow game since that strong opening by Brazil. Korea had one solid chance, well-saved by Weverton. Not a lot of penetration by Brazil right now. Lots of activating Raphinha and Dani Alves on the right but not getting much out of it, and sometimes bad crosses end the play.
Korea score - Hwang Ui Jo gets the ball in the box, holds off his man, turns and scores. Really good goal. Brazil needs to increase the intensity and be more productive with the final choices.
Richarlison with a really good header after sustained pressure. Alex Sandro with the cross again. Wanted a PK after he got taken down when crossing, but I don't think it is warranted. EDIT: Definitely contact after Alex Sandro gets the ball. Could be called since the cross didn't result in a goal, but it's a bit soft. PK for Brazil confirmed.
Thiago Silva hits the cross bar on a header from a corner. Casemiro had the rebound but poked it over from point-blank range as he didn't have time to get it right.
Honestly, not thrilled with the match we played. We deserve to be ahead, but for long stretches it felt like that team that can't break opponents down. Disciplined shape by Korea, but Brazil needs to do better and create some chances. Bruno Guimarães and Vini Jr. are sure to get some minutes. I want to see Arana but to be fair, Alex Sandro has had a strong first half.
No immediate changes for Brazil for the second half. I think I'd take Richarlison off for Vini Jr (assuming Neymar stays) and then it would make sense to take off Alex Sandro too. Bruno Guimarães for Fred would be the other sub I'd expect to see. Brazil failed to capitalize on a bad back pass by South Korea. Dani Alves down injured in our defensive box. Would be awkward if he had to be subbed off but looks like he's ok.
Paquetá with a good chance on a pass from Neymar, good kick save by the keeper. Alex Sandro gets fouled in the box, more clearly than the previous PK imo, but the ref lets it go. Looks like all of Brazil's offensive subs are warming up. PK confirmed.

Looks like Thiago Silva being treated for injury now. He's ok to keep playing, but keep in mind that if either him or Dani Alves need to be subbed, there's no direct replacement, Fabinho would be the first choice in both cases...
Subs are overdue Tite... what's the point in waiting much longer? This is also looking like those games we couldn't break other teams down ... back when we waited too long to sub. Richarlison makes a run down the right and crosses low but too far for Neymar to get a shot. Raphinha almost got on the end of a nice assist attempt too. Those spaces would definitely be enticing for fresh legs...
