We never expected them to show up to class on time.

I fail to recognize the humor here. Let me run down the list of possible ways this could maybe be funny:

    1) An attempt at "attendance" smack on Earthquakes fans.
Seeing as how you are an Earthquakes fan, I'm going to hope this isn't it.

Yes, I realize I'm being hypocritical, for anyone who reads the Rivalries forum.

    2) An attempt at attendance smack on the Ultras.
I'm not sure about this, I thought (though there weren't a hunge amount of us) we made our presence known at most if not all games, and before the kickoff as well.

    I've run out of ideas.

Perhaps you should try again, to better get your point across, whatever that may be.

can we all just give the Ultra bashing a rest. They tried, they had fun, they were Quakes fans. Isn't that enough?

Not this year. LARS made a trek to Chicago this past weekend. 40+!!

No SJ plans for the remainder of the regular season.

The San Jose Ultras group does not exist anymore and it will never be back. We were thinking about dissolving the group a while ago, due to our relationship with the FO and security. We waited until the LA game, because we wanted to end everything on a high note, and i guess we did well at that game. I am sure that now, after we made this move, the FO will find an investor, a stadium, and the attendance will grow up to 30k every game. Also there won't be any more riots and racism at Spartan.
Thanks for the support, and it was an interesting experience. We will still show up at games, but not as a group.
Good luck to the Casbah! Keep up the good work guys.
    Go Earthquakes! 2006 MLS Champions!

Thanks and good luck to the Ultras lot. At least you ended the group on a high note and on your own terms!

Any chance you want to unload a few of the banners to hang on the North Side? ;)

The team will have a local and/or committed investor (if it hasn't already) and will have a South Bay stadium, but not because of the Ultras' dissolution.

So no more stereo-effect chanting around Spartan? :(

    GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!!

Remember the original Ultra? That raverkid or whatever his name was? Maybe they went out partying with him and are sleeping it all off.

They might be careful, Jed Bush might try adopting them to keep them on life support, then enroll them into Liberty College.

The San Jose Ultras group still exist and will be back, probably next season if the quakes will be here. We feel that the group was going in the wrong direction and we need to make some changes. We will keep you informed on future developments.

Message #41 is a mistake. Somehow, my screename was used by somebody else, who probably tried to make a joke, or confuse people. Ultras DOES NOT LONGER EXIST. I would like the mods to check by IP number, and delete that post if it's possible. Thank you

I think the confusion is the result of a basic philosophical question. If a supporter group is no longer supporting, does it still exist? (Kind of like "If a tree falls in the forest and there is nobody around does it make a sound?")

We're looking into it. I can confirm that post #41 is from a different IP address. Not going to delete that post since people have responded to it.
