Allocate the Quakes Remaining 6.5 Goals So the Quakes have been averaging 6.5 goals per every 4 games. Let's optimistically say they are due for 7 goals in the next 4 games (the last 4 of the season) since they only had 6 in the previous 4 MLS games. If you could allocate these 7 goals but you had to do it right now, how would you allocate them? Yes, this is just another idle amusement to keep you going between games
Allocate the Quakes Remaining 6.5 Goals Although an ass-beating of 7-0 at Spartan sounds nice, I prefer a couple of lesser ass-beatings 0f 3-0 and 4-0.
After the Quakes go scoreless in their next 3 games, newly promoted coach Kinnear introduces a new formation featuring Barclay and Cannon as the two forwards. They play well, getting 4 and 6 assists respectively , but not as much as the new superstar center midfielder, Lucci Gonzales who scores 7 goals with 3 assists (to himself) in the Quake's final game. Landon Donovan, as the new leader of the Blue Crew, wows the audience with his after-goal abz display. After the game, Landon says to the press, "I think I found my true calling, although I need to get a little balder before I truly replace Crazy George."
Forgetting last Saturday, we've been a pretty even team in terms of scoring. 2 goals each game with one 3 goal game (v LA@Spartan).
Re: Allocate the Quakes Remaining 6.5 Goals I presume you hadn't yet read your PMs when you posted this... The Quakes better know they'll have to score more than that four-game average down the home stretch this year, if they want to win the West.
Re: Allocate the Quakes Remaining 6.5 Goals So, the Quakes round down to 6 goals for their last four games and allocate them as follows: 2 against DC 4 against Columbus 0 against LA at LA 0 against LA at SJ Hey Quakes, that wasn't one of the voting options! As BlueMeanie says, the Quakes need to step up their goal scoring. Key to that is Donovan putting himself in a scoring position more often and taking more shots. Although he had some beautiful runs tonight, in the second half it seemed like he would stand anywhere but in the opponent's box. How is he going to score from midfield? Anyone else feel that way?
Well, if this is a running average and carries over into the post season, I would say that an excellent allocation would be as follows: LA@LA - 0 LA@SJ - 0 Crew@SJ - 3 SJ@Crew - 3 I think that would make us ALL happy!
