Was wondering if anybody wanted to do an All Time Ireland Draft, 11 Starters + 7 Subs. 18 Rounds snake draft.

Anybody that has ever played for Ireland can be selected, if I get enough interest and you wanna include the North, I'm open to that too.

    Anyone interested?

I've never understood these draft things on here. They even had a God draft ffs!!

I will participate however though I'd limit myself to players post 1978.

Also, you might get called a real fan and you'd die of shame and embarrassment.

Alright, looks like we've got 4 as of now? Not really sure on some of the answers. Would like to get at least 8, so lets hold off another week before we start and get the draft order in..well..order.

Yeah, that was really weird :D. I used to think the same, but trust me they get a little addictive. Which means I'm in too. :D

Only the South, or will we be including the North? It might be easier to fill out the numbers if we include both, but I don't really mind either way...

It's usually best to lay out a few ground rules first, too. Will we be basing them on just international performances, or club & country? If it is club & country, will the player need to have an international cap (can't think off my head of any who wouldn't, but it's worth clarifying just in case). Also, would performance for Ireland count for more, less or the same as country?

Yes I think they would have to had a cap and performances should be based on club & country. Maybe at the end of it, those participating can all rank the teams(your own team excluded of course).

Also, I don't think we should include subs, just first XI. Adding subs in would get a bit tedious.

I agree on the subs part to be honest, these drafts always tend to slow down around round 10 of so anyway, and with 7 subs could well just run out of steam before we get to the finish.

So lets keep it with just the South for now, if we somehow manage to land 10 teams, we'll include the north. Instead of 7 subs, what about 3? I agree on needing an international cap and ratings based on both club & country. Whenever we reach a decent amount of teams to draft, we can randomize the draft order using random.com or something.
