    Jimmy Conrad Named All-Star Starter

    http://kc.wizards.mlsnet.com/MLS/ne...050713&content_id=36378&vkey=pr_mls&fext=.jsp

Jimmy Conrad is going to represent us in the all-star game! I know some of us think that either Nick Garcia or Diego Gutierrez has been our defensive leader this season, but it wasn't the fan vote that got him in as he only got 6.7% on that. He got 25.4% from the media, 27.0% from the players, and 34.2% from the coaches and GMs for an average of 23.3%, which is second to last among starters (Shalrie Joseph has a 20.0%). I think the other Wizards with a legitimate chance to make the all-star or all-star reserve team are Nick Garcia, Chris Klein, and Diego Gutierrez.

Oops, we both started all-star threads at the same time!

    Garcia should make reserves

    As well as Klein

Wolff, Gutierrez and Burciaga are long shots

Congrats Jimmy! Maybe I am just biased, but I was kinda hoping for Wolff or Davy.

Davey hasn't had a very good season IMO, so being on the All-Star team when his first place spot for the Wizards is in jeopardy would be wrong.

Wolff -- I agree he is having a good season. But he is third or fourth in the pecking order behind LD and EJ.

Wolff has also missed to math time with the Nats, but is still playing well.
