Total of 14 gameweeks to complete. Bottom two teams in each group table are eliminated from competition - total of 8 teams. Teams are also playing for position in second group stage. Second Group Stage Group A 6 teams from first group stage. Group A winner. Group B 2nd place. Group C 3rd place. Group D 4th place. Group B 5th place. Group A 6th place. Group B 6 teams from first group stage. Group B winner. Group A 2nd place. Group D 3rd place. Group C 4th place. Group A 5th place. Group B 6th place. Group C 6 teams from first group stage Group C winner. Group D 2nd place. Group A 3rd place. Group B 4th place. Group D 5th place. Group C 6th place. Group D 6 teams from first group stage. Group D winner. Group C 2nd place. Group B 3rd place. Group A 4th place. Group C 5th place. Group D 6th place. Total of 10 gameweeks to complete. Quater-final teams will be seeded. 1 v 7 Game A 3 v 5 Game B 2 v 8 Game C 4 v 6 Game D 1st seed = Best group winner record. 2nd seed = 2nd best group winner 3rd seed = 3rd best group winner 4th seed = th best group winner. 5th seed = best 2nd place finisher. 6th seed = 2nd best 2nd place finisher. 7th seed = 3rd best 2nd place finisher. 8th seed = 4th best 2nd place finisher. Tiebreakers will be used if necessary, and will be inclusive from the begining of the competition, not just the previous second group stage. Total of 2 gameweeks to complete. 4 teams eliminated from competition. Final four The final four will enter the fouth, and final group, round robin play to determine the 08/09 Golden Boot winner. Total of 6 Gameweeks to complete. Total of 38 gameweeks. The premierleague official site determines the gameweek and teams that play, no alterations will be made by me. Teams that miss weeks of play due to the various cup competitions will have to be worked around. There will be no 'off weeks' this season. There will be no 'goal difference ' this season. There wil be no 'semi-final' and 'final' per se, this season.
