maybe he just never got called up or decided not to get a Bosnian passport because Austria doesn't allow duel citizenship. Don't need to explain, EU passport > Bosnian passport
I’d honestly pass on Dilaver at this point. He’s in the middle of his prime years while we’re probably going to transition into a whole new generation after the Euro 2021 cycle. We have Hadžikadunić and Ahmedhodžić as prospects that I’d like to develop there, and Saničanin proved he can be a good 3rd CB for a while (he’s just 25 I believe).
The last I heard, Dilaver was going through some intricate bureaucratic process which enables him to keep his Austrian citizenship while changing his sporting nationality to BiH. However, there are no guarantees of success with this type of application, and can take a very long time. Plus, I'm guessing that having a right-wing nationalist government in Austria is not helping his cause.
Dilaver's value is in passing on knowledge to the younger players, imho. Also, as the current crisis has shown, Bosnia need to ensure they have as many top-quality available players as possible.
Aldin Turkes starts the 2020/21 season where he left off the previous one: with a goal and assist as Lausanne-Sport beat FC Stade Nyonnais 1-3 in the Swiss Cup. http://www.viewpure.com/-db5bWN3dYY?start=0&end=0
Nardin Mulahuseinovic nets a brilliant, Dzeko-like strike in a 2-4 victory for Koper at Gorica (Slovenian top-flight, 13/09/2020): http://www.viewpure.com/EYfL87dkWSM?start=0&end=0
Zoran Kvrzic scores an excellent volleyed winner as Kayserispor edge Kasimpasa 1-0 (13/09/2020): https://tr.beinsports.com/lig/super...hes-kablo-kayserispor-1-0-kasimpasa-mac-ozeti
Anel Ahmedhodzic officially cleared to play for Bosnia https://www.nfsbih.ba/vijesti/nogom...anel-ahmedhodzic-stekao-pravo-nastupa-za-bih/
Hadzikadunic also cleared. Excited to see both of them next month. Finally some fresh blood with good potential in the NT. This is the start of a turn to a newer generation I feel like.
Anyone follow Nihad Mujakic, former Sarajevo CB, now at Hajduk? Wondering how he's progressing, still 22.
Seems to be a starter for them. I believe he was called up but the corona virus pandemic happened. Todorovic there now too after his stint in Germany didn’t go well.
Hasic getting his second start in the row for Besiktas. See no reason why he shouldn't be called up for the match against northern Ireland. This picture not helping to stop the comparisons in the way he plays. I think this is the video of him surrounded by all the defenders in the picture 1307355635592376321 is not a valid tweet id
Hasić is one of the best BiH talents I’ve ever seen, he has crazy potential. The sky is the limit for him. He really reminds me of Dybala. It was probably a good thing he left for Besiktas, who knows if he’d get a chance to play at age 18 with Dinamo. If he continues playing for Besiktas, I don’t see why he shouldn’t be called up in October.

BREAKING @FIFAcom Congress approves change of eligibility rules, meaning players who have played one official match for one country can switch to another (as long as match did not come in major championship, such as WC)Good news for many out there, esp Munir El Haddadi. pic.twitter.com/2msnzBZgMc— Piers Edwards (@piers_e) September 18, 2020 interesting
Hopefully sport sport or some other website compiles a list, would like to see which players would be eligible. Not sure sure if I’d want to go after these mercenaries though.
Did a quick search for players still eligible for Bosnia based on the one-time switch rule, not the new. Not full list, just some that might be useful: Ivan Sunjic, 23, DM, Birmingham, 1 cap Croatia Zeljko Gavric, 19, LW, Red Star, 8 caps Serbia u19 Mihailo Ristic, 24, LW, Montpellier, 1 cap Serbia
How is Kodro even a professional footballer. He averages a goal every other 15 games as a striker. beats me..
