Cincinnati Hap's Irish Pub: 3510 Erie Ave., Hyde Park. For the most diverse and perhaps most soccer-knowledgeable cross-section of fans, head to this Hyde Park joint. Soccer is always part of the conversation here, but it's revered during the World Cup. McFadden's: 19 E. 7th St., downtown. Local professional team, the Cincinnati Kings, will be hosting viewing parties here for all of the U.S. games as well as the final July 9. La Tradicion: 106 E. Fourth St., Covington. Fans of Latin American teams frequently show up here for soccer viewing. Kings players have also been known to stop by to watch. The Mad Frog: 1 E. McMillan St., Clifton Heights. The large Latin American crowd on Monday nights convinced management to show the World Cup games throughout the tournament. Five TVs and a sizable Hispanic presence are anticipated. Mecklenburg Gardens: 302 E. University Ave., Corryville. Expected to be a gathering spot for German-Americans, the beer garden restaurant will be showing the games during operating hours, opening at 11 a.m.

Watched the England-Paraguay game at Phoenix Landing in Central Square. Opened early for breakfast and beer. The place was packed full of English supporters. They should be showing all of the games, but I don't know how crowded it will be for non-England games.
Crown & Anchor in LV had a pretty heavy pro-US crowd. Bigger than the group that was there for the US/Germany game in 2002, very few in colors though. Saw a single Sam's Army shirt.
World Cup Viewing spots for this week in L.A. Tomorrow 6 a.m. in Koreatown in the park in front of Radio Korea. 3700 Wilshire Blvd. Reds Go Together! For the second Korea game on Sunday there will be a huge party at the Staples center. KOREA VS. FRANCE - JUNE 18 AT STAPLES CENTER: AEG, the Los Angeles Galaxy and the 2006 Korean World Cup Cheering committee have announced a special World Cup partnership. AEG, the Galaxy and the 2006 Korean World Cup Cheering committee will host a viewing party at STAPLES Center on Sunday, June 18th, 2006 at 12:00 p.m. when Korea will take on France in their second game of the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany. Tickets are now available at the STAPLES Center Box Office in downtown Los Angeles and The Home Depot Center Box Office in Carson. Fans will be allowed to receive a maximum of four (4) tickets per person. For the Brazil Noon game there's a good spot on Northeast L.A. Taste of Brazil 4840 Huntington Drive, El Sereno 90032 (323) 342-9422. Also for Friday's Mexico game against Angola. I recommend shuttling to Plaza Mexico in Lynwood, CA. There's a smaller Angel de la Independencia to run around he he. www.plazamexico.com
San Diego /Lemon Grove update. I checked out Dirks this week, and apparently they are undergoing renovations. They had some audio problems so best to scratch this venue as an option for now.
To answer my own earlier question, McCarthy's seems to be the place to watch the early morning matches in San Luis Obispo, CA. I think they open at 6 a.m. and had a big crowd, at least for the US match. Woodstock's Pizza is good for the lunchtime matches, with all TVs including the big screen in the back devoted to WC matches. If you can get there a 10 minutes or so before the noon matches, the bar at Vini Vai (sp?) on Higuera is a good place to watch, with a plasma TV and pretty good food but only a few bar stools. WC is about the only time I miss working in Santa Monica, where a good 10-15 pubs in walking distance to my office showed all the matches.
Seriously... where are all the Boston fans going to watch the game? I can't go to Gillette and live in the city. I think I may go to Lir downtown but really just want to go wherever the US supporters are going to be. Anyone??
ADDING INFO FOR KANSAS CITY (I think nobody posted Kansas City because even I, who lives Los Angeles knows the Arrowhead Practice facility will draw a few thousand people. 2002 was awesome. I mean, where else would you go?!) Same for COLUMBUS, I'm sure they're throwing a gigantic bash at Crew Stadium like last time...but I can't say for sure. Regarding Los Angeles: Does anyone know about a big watch party in Los Angeles? Not these smaller bar parties (though Barney's sounds cool) but like at Staples Center or Universal City Walk or something really big? Hi Everyone, London *has* a venue. It is: a place called The Offside Bar, near Angel tube stop in Islington. http://www.offsidebar.com/ Anyone in/near London should come to this place to watch the Ghana game! It's not central, but it's ours, and the manager says he'll play our game commentary instead of the other game. See you there from 2:30pm!

hey snapshot--i was just wondering if our viewing party could get on your list. we are in Queens, N.Y.C. we'll be watching the qualifier(march 15th) at The Breffini Inn Bar 4345 40th Street Sunnyside, Queens. the Borough Boys thank you!
Hey guys. We've partnered with Meetup.com to organize all the World Cup 2010 viewing parties! Click here and tell your friends: http://www.meetup.com/BigSoccer-World-Cup-Parties/
I had problems with that this morning. I've secured a pub just outside Melbourne for a viewing party for the USA v Australia friendly on June 5, and it wouldn't let me enter my specific location, even when I gave an address on the next line.
Off topic. So pissed the USA has no games around the Aussie matches. They are the best fans to party with hands down. I was hungover for 2 days in Munich in 06 after a night with them. Good times.
USA v AUSTRALIA Saturday, June 5 10 p.m. The Precinct Hotel 60 Swan Street (corner of Cremorne Street), near Punt Road Richmond, VIC 3121 Australia Details: Hope that works!
I think that's semi-"on topic", see above. Not to mention in the best sporting city in the world, at that.
