To keep the theme of various geographical DCU sects going, I thought ALX/ARL should be represented. Maybe we can throw the DCU eagle on teh ship and scale of ALX or the colonnade on Arlington's seal. After all, DC's flag is based on George Washington's seal, which is displayed in the Masonic Temple's main auditorium. In any case, MV/Seminary Road representin', y'all.
I'm a supporter group indie, but what the hell. Courthouse. And my roommate has season tix, too, he's just too busy posting on the HFS boards to come post here.
So with all these sub groups being organized any chance of massive picnics/matches happening? I know we have yet to even really organize but it is something we all should keep in mind. Of course someone is going to have to bring a paramedic friend. I knwo I would need one.
I'm only two years deep in Semi Rd., so I'm unaware of any past tensions. My spiritual home is the depressing and violent Route 1 corridor of Mount Vernon.
Add two more to the Alexandria/Arlington Fanaticos. United_Caps_Fan and I are moving into our Alexandria digs next weekend!
I lived in Arlington little over a year ago and think it is great you are organizing. I have a suggestion for an event. Somebody should contact Arlington Cinema Drafthouse and see if you can host an away game (perhaps the first) similar to what Barra Brava organized with the now defunct Visions, downtown. I know Summers is the place for soccer but the Drafthouse has the big screen and I think would be a blast. Just an idea and don't mean to horn in on your thread, now if I could just convince one of you to drive some Pollo Rico chicken down here I would be truly happy.
Hi guys. Assuming that the snow tommorow doesnt fvck things up for me on friday, Im going with a cute girl to get some food in arlington. the place is apparantly near ballston common mall. just wondering if anyone could give me some ideas of fun things to do afterwards?
Sounds like you're going to Tutto Benne. Great restuarant, Marco used to frequent the joint on a regular basis. Ballston Commons is a pretty cool mall to walk around, and you're only a few blocks away from Clarendon though most of the joints on the strip you've gotta be 21 to enter. Take a drive thru there anyway, or just proceed down Wilson Blvd and across the bridge into Georgetown. Have fun Natty!!
