ALEX MANNINGER has just had his contract "terminated" by Espanyol of Spain, stating that the deal "was not completed". Therefore it would appear that he will be heading back to Highbury. Under what terms and conditions remains to be seen, but unless he can be "sold" or another club comes in for him before 31st August, the "window" for transfer closure, perhaps Monsiuer Wenger's search for a new goalkeeper might be over!!!
