This thread can go on forever and I will post more over time, but what are some of your favorite album covers? If possible, post a picture. My first is Ghazal's "Moonrise Over the Silk Road"
Ritual de lo Habitual - Janes addiction. they originally had this one- But the Government (I thik) deemed it too explicit, so they re- released it with the first cover. So, it's plain, but symbolic.
Gotta love the Kinks. However, I present to you something completely different: Massive Attack, "Mezzanine" kevin + http://tullamarine.org
Nope, it was Wal-Mart who wanted the cover change. They refused to sell the explicit cover version, but agreed to sell the album after the plain cover was presented to them.
I think I live in a cave. I've never seen that white version. I have that album on my jukebox, but I guess I've never really seen it other than at the bar.
Tool - lateralus. This is only a pic of the plastic cover that came over the cd. The actual cd cover is made of transparent plastic. Each page has a different painting on it, and when closed it all shows at the front. Very cool.
