I don't remember why Ajax is playing PSV instead of FC Utrecht today, maybe somebody can jog my memory as to why that is. Anyway, the match was supposed to start at 6pm local time, but the PSV supporters stopped the PSV players' bus from leaving to Amsterdam. This because there won't be any PSV supporters at the game, they felt something like "we can't go, then our players won't go either". That's what VIP says at least. So the match for the Johan Cruyff Schaal will start at some time before 7pm local time (within the coming hour and 15 minutes)
Funny..Livescore.com has the match in the 13th minute... Oscar, I noticed you're in Holland. Are you an Ajax supporter? If so let me know, and I'll PM you. I have a question about obtaining tickets.
The game will start even later, the latest start time is quarter past 7pm note: time could change whenever we want it to! I'm not really an Ajax supporter, I just don't mind if they win their games. Not 100% sure how to get tickets for Ajax games at any rate, I'm sure a real Ajax supporter will come to this thread to answer you though.
Is there gonna be a matchtracker for this game? Do this game get taken seriously? Or is it just a glorified friendly? Buff, I've tried that site. Not much help. Call here, call there, email this etc etc. The reason I'm trying to find out is, that since there is a 50% chance that Ajax will be drawn into a CL league tie with a Serie A team, I want to see if I can get tickets to sit in the Visitors section when they come down here. I doubt I can make it to Amsterdam any time soon, but it's just a few hour trip to either Roma, Milano or Torino.
Oooh...it's become a soap opera: Brother vs Brother Koeman vs Koeman Looks like Hiddink has given the coaching role for this game to one of his assistant coaches: Erwin Koeman. He probably got irritated by all the happenings around this game, that's what is insinuated by the tv announcer at least. So no Guus Hiddink coaching PSV today.
Line ups: Ajax ..............Stekelenburg................. Trabelsi....Bergdolmo..Chivu...Obrien Galasek........van der Vaart...Maxwell van der Meyde..Mido.............Sikora PSV ................Waterreus................... Bogelund...Ooijer..Hofland.......Bouma .........van Bommel.........Vogel........ Rommedahl..Bruggink.Kezman.Gakhogidze Game has just begun a few minutes ago
And just to be clear: Guus Hiddink is present, and sitting on the bench with the rest of the PSV team, but Erwin Koeman is the coach for this match.
Oh my God.... Goal for PSV in the 10th minute, a cross by Rommedahl finds the head of Kezman, who hits it perfectly to make the goal. Ajax - PSV 0-1
heh Kamikaze attack by Waterreus on van der Vaart outside the penalty box: free kick for Ajax..... ...van der Meyde shoots into the wall
Damn you! Sikora lets the PSV defense know how fast he is, and intercepted a ball close to the goal. His goal attempt went right into Waterreus' hands though.
Oooooof Van der Meyde slides in violently against a PSV player....damn! (<---reaction to replay ) He gets the yellow card
Great save by Stekelenburg. Kezman was left in the box totally free to drink a cup of tea before deciding which corner of the goal to shoot at...but the teen wonder shows he can hold his own.
Stekelenburg wants to keep the tie on the scoreboard at least untill half time, 2 good saves after another after a PSV corner.
Nice one... Trabelsi makes 2 PSV defenders look like cheesecakes, and gives a great pass from the right to Mido's curly head....and the Egyptian knows how to score with his head: Ajax - PSV 2-1
PSV subs: Vennegoor of Hesselink for Vogel Robben for Gakhokidze Obrien is doing pretty good so far, hasn't been coming up much this game, but doing a good job keeping the left back side of the field danger-free.
Ooijer close to the equaliser. Looks like Robben will create some trouble for Ajax for the rest of the game. PSV's a little more attacking with the new players.
