That grand alliance is not very deep. I had a born again chick tell me to my face that because I'm a Catholic and haven't been "saved" I'm not actually a Christian.

I've always thought it was more of a redneck, backwoods, hick kind of thing myself. Like something people from, say, Texas might indulge in. Guess we all have our little prejudices right?

Right, because we all know the Christian agenda is to help everyone on Earth. Except for, you know, homosexuals, Muslems, Jews, Hindus, women, Democrats, liberals, scientists, free-thinkers and the rest of the immoral or yet to be saved laundry list that is approved for hatred by the church.

 

And sadly, that's not uncommon among the fundamentalist wing of evangelicals. However, that's not universal.
