    It is mind blowing to watch European teams. They are neutralizing Brazilian players one after another to play for them. What a glory!

    This is the roaster for 2016 European Championship.

    Azerbaijan (foreign born player) (2016 European Championship 8th place)
    Sergey Chuykov => Russian
    Amadeu => Brazilian
    Augusto => Brazilian
    Fineo De Araujo => Brazilian
    Rafael => Brazilian
    Eduardo => Brazilian

    Italy (2016 European Championship 5th place)

    Alex Merlim => Brazilian
    Giasson => Brazilian
    Fortino => Brazilian
    Gabriel Lima => Brazilian
    Honorio => Brazilian
    Patias => Brazilian
    Canal => Brazilian
    Vampeta => Brazilian
    Ferriera => Brazilian

    Portugal (2016 European Championship 7th place)
    Leitao => Brazilian

    Russia (2016 European Championship 2nd place)
    Robinho => Brazilian
    Eder Lima => Brazilian
    Romulo => Brazilian
    Gustavo => Brazilian

    Kazakhstan (2016 European Championship 3rd place)
    Higuita => Brazilian
    Arnold Knaub => unknown
    Leo Silva => Brazilian
    Douglas Jr. => unknown
    Bunch of other suspected Russian players

    Spain (2016 European Championship 1st place)
    Fernandao => Brazilian

    :D:whistling:

    A suggestion for our fellow Asian teams:
    Neutralize Brazilian players if you can pay good salaries, otherwise use Iranian or Russian players with half salaries. Good luck to you.;)

    That's what did Afghanistan (using Iranian) and they drew Kyrgyzstan... And of course Qatar.

    In Lebanon, clubs can pay good salaries and recruit players fros Serbia & Colombia NT. But for the NT, we don't want naturalized player(s), we have good players even if they played a shitty yournament + a good new generation.
    we surely need some Iranian experts as in beachsoccer.

    azarbaijan and kazakhstan are both joke countries who always do this. similar to qatar. but italy? wtf? i am surprised.

    azarbaijan the country is a joke. a pseudocountry born from imperialism and modern politics trying to push a fake national narrative. at least kurdish separatists are using ethnicity to prove their point... but "azarbaijan" is using fictional historical narratives and they dont even know who they are. they think they are turks from turkey, when in reality they are mixed turkic and iranic and also some european. culturally, they are more iranic than turkic, and have historically been part of Iran. north azarbaijan should be an Iranian province.

    It is not even Azerbaijan. It was called Aran (ancient name was Caucasian Albania) until 1918 and later was renamed to Azerbaijan by Soviets to take over Iranian Azerbaijan as they did during the Stalin (occupation of north of Iran 1941-1946). Only the pressure from US and British government who were scared of communism pushed them back behind Aras river in old land of Aran. Iranian Azerbaijanis are mainly Iranian Turkophone and Iranian-Turk mix ethnicity. Former USSR Azerbaijanis are mainly Tatars, Muslim Armenians, other Caucasians, Iranic Talishs and Tats, and few Iranian Azerbaijanis who moved to that area since 1800s. If you ask Greek opinion about Macedonia (Fyrom= former yugoslavia republic of macedonia), it falls in the same category of Azerbaijan.;) Now they claim Iran divided south and north Azerbaijan to weaken them!? A person with little history knowledge knows there were no north Azerbaijan in first place and Russian invaders separated Aran from Iran in 1800s. The people are still good. It is their politicians who stir up the situation to rule. Their first and last ultra nationalist and alternative historian President Elijibey wanted to attack Iran to take lands as far as Tehran and Persian gulf!:whistling: Right after their independence from Soviet Union back in 1991. He ended up losing his job and the war against tiny Armenia . He spread some racist BS against Persians in their school books and among his people which is still around. Enough of history lesson.

    I am also surprised with Italy, they may have recruited some Brazilians with Italian ancestry. There are many Argentinians and Brazilians with Italian origin.

    Who are you talking about? I don't know any Iranian playing for Afghanistan. That is just absurd. Iran has the strongest team in asia. Afghanistan is a nobody team in futsal. Poor Afghanis don't have enough money for their national football team. Afghanis living in Dubai are paying for their team. I am sure they don't pay Iranian players. There is no future for an Iranian playing in Afghanistan either. :laugh: unless he is a drug addict ;)

    Well that's what Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan guys said after the qualifications... Maybe they were talking about Iran-based players.

    People come up with wild claims these days. :laugh: There is no motivation for an Iranian to play for Afghanistan. There is no money, no future, no freedom, not even security. You made me laugh hard today. :ROFLMAO: thank you :):thumbsup:

    Like it or not, Japan has the most successful players in the top European leagues among the countries in AFC. Whenever I watch Bundesliga games, there is at least one Japanese player on the pitch. Some Korean players are doing well too. Son was great at Leverkusen. But I haven't seen Iranian players in the league unfortunately. I miss the days when guys like Daei, Mahdavikia and Hashemian were there.

    You showed that you don't follow Asian football very well.
    You're free to think what you want, but at least read carefully what people say.
    I never said that they were not the most succesful, all my comment was based on the fact they were but they were not enjoying to watch (many of them, not all), while most of other Asian players in europe actually are (Koreans, Iraqis, Uzbeks).
    I just feel them boring to watch.

    The fact that there are dozens of Koreans/Japanese players in Bundesliga has been already discussed on this forum. It depends on many factors, while individual quality is one of them. The most important thing is that both of these contries take football seriously and had long term plans for years and today they take the result for it, as they form a lot of young players in the purpose of sending them in Europe in order to improve the level of their football. That's why they do everything to reach these moves, like close collaboration with European clubs and academies. The most important thing is that they teach tactical discipline and global profesionnal attitude very well to their kids, that's the key of success.

    Now can you compare this to any other country in Asia ? Absolutely not.
    The only countries which can rivalize with these 2 are Iraq, Uzbekistan and Iran.

    For the first one it is obvious why they don't have 20 players in Europe, obviously war + no state + corrupted federation. Moreover Iraq isn't something amazing neither, they have some talented players such as Adnan and Isameil and they play in Europe.
    I don't know that much about Uzbekistan, but they suffer from corruption too and their good players go to Russia and sometimes unfortunately to Qatar.

    Now Iran. We had a lot of good legionnaires in Europe for 1998-2006. But a lot of things have happened since. The worst thing is the awful corruption and mafia in the federation, plus complete lack of decent management and profesionnalism in our football .
    On one side most young talents have been misled by mafia agents during that period and most of them wasted their career by staying in the IPL for money (or going to Qatar, UAE), also we had a weaker generation (we have to admit) during these years (2009-2013). But now there are more and more wised kids who forget about the money and accept to play in intermediate leagues for some years in order to reach top4 league one day. Also this younger generation is much more talented and hopefully you will hear much more from them in the future after the success of Azmoun and JB.

    One the other hand there is all the extra sportive aspect. Iran hasn't 10% of Japan or Korea's relations with European clubs, or any sponsoring with these clubs in the purpose of signing Iranian players but that's just life. They work hard and seriously while we are in a completely different situation in our country, which is runned by anything but competent people. Also because of the political issues, it had become almost impossible for any of our players to move to Europe as they were tons of administrative and financial problems to solve before signing any Iranian, also almost all our players are required to do the military service (2 years) before leaving the country. After the elimination in the 2010 WCQ, it made it even worse as we had no more repuation back then. But Carlos Queiroz come and things become slowly and slowly better despite all these problems.

    Now you can understand how hard it is for our players to reach Europe, and that it is not really objective to compare their situation in Europe with Korea/Japan or Australia players which are on a different context. Again these 2 countries work hard and deserve their success and their achievements in European football, they make Asia proud.

    I think you can have a better vision on this now.
